Wind-Tunnel Tested
Why do I need to
secure my mobile
equipment?
Protect your investment
with on-site safety.
Mastertent mobile equipment uses the
highest quality materials for leading quality
and strength. Our products are tried and tested
for durability including wind-tunnel testing for
the material strength against the elements.
By design however, our products are meant to
be mobile and not permanent in nature. Due to
their intention of being easy to pack up and go,
mobile structures can become vulnerable to
wind when not properly secured. We recommend
reviewing our securing tips and guides outlined
here to ensure proper safety.
Canopy Tent Securing
Mobile by design, a canopy tents act like
a parachute in windy conditions - lifting
in updrafts and then falling - sometimes
resulting in damages. Keep tents in place
with top securing via Ground Anchors or
Ballasting Systems and secure from the
base with Base Weights for versatile use.
Full Canopy Tent Securing Guide: Page 14.
Pavilion Kiosk Securing
Build for longer term deployment, the
pavilion's robust structure and heavier
design naturally act as its own built-in
securing method. Unlike canopy tents
that require additional weight due to
their lightweight design, pavilions are
heavy enough to stand on their own.
Stake or bolt footplates to the ground
for added security.
Inflatable Securing
Incredibly lightweight, inflatables are
more prone to lifting or moving in the wind.
However, as they consist almost entirely
of heavy-duty fabric, inflatables are less
subject to damages from wind and weather.
Secure your Mastertent inflatables with
ground stakes, top-down anchor straps,
internal sandbags, and more.
Canopy Tent Securing
On-Site Safety in 3 Easy Steps
Analyze your on-site safety and make a plan
for your canopy tent securing in three steps:
1) Review Top vs. Base Securing Methods
2) Evaluate Securing Equipment Performance
for intensity and best application.
3) Monitor Weather Conditions to adjust
equipment accordingly.
SECURING
Top Securing: The upper edge of
every tent leg provides the best
fastening points. That’s where all
the action happens, so stabilizing
from these points with Ground
Anchors spiked into a strong
surface, or a Ballast System
with sufficient weight means
optimal weather performance!
Base Securing: The lower tent
legs are a convenient and
essential way to secure if limited
space or hard surfaces do not
allow anchoring. Base Weights
give a strong foundation with
a low, sleek profile. Include top
securing as conditions increase.
