FLYTX, THALES’ NEW CONNECTED AVIONICS SUITE SELECTED
BY VR-TECHNOLOGIES FOR ITS CIVIL HELICOPTER
The FlytX avionics suite has been selected by VR-Technologies, a subsidiary of Russian Helicopters, to equip the future VRT500 light
single-engine civil helicopter. Complete, integrated and connected to open-world systems with end-to-end cybersecurity assurance by
Thales, the FlytX avionics suite reduces pilot workload with optimum safety. FlytX also offers a 40% reduction in weight, space and
energy consumption compared to other current avionics suites. FlytX features a latest-generation user interface based on a largeformat,
integrated 15-inch touchscreen display to simplify the pilot’s tasks thanks to the most innovative technologies. FlytX was
specifically developed to meet the needs of pilots. It is the culmination of a decade of research and development. The FlytX avionics
suite is compact, lightweight and connected to improve the safety of VFR (visual flight rules) flights. Available as a retrofit option for
in-service helicopters, FlytX is an ideal solution for any customer and can be tailored to different aircraft types and the level of upgrade
required. The fully connected FlytX suite can be interfaced in flight and on the ground with open-world applications. With end-to-end
cybersecurity assurance from Thales, pilots can therefore use any mission-specific application and keep the helicopter in touch with
the outside world at all times.

La suite avionique FlytX développée par Thales a été sélectionnée par VR-Technologies, filiale de Russian Helicopters, afin d’équiper
le futur hélicoptère civil léger monoturbine VRT500. Complète, intégrée et connectée dans un environnement cybersécurisé, la suite
avionique FlytX permet de réduire, selon l’industriel, la charge de travail des pilotes avec un niveau de sécurité optimal. FlytX offre en
outre une réduction du poids, de l’encombrement et de la consommation d’énergie de 40% par rapport aux suites avioniques actuelles.
Elle est dotée d’une interface homme-machine de dernière génération avec notamment un écran tactile intégré large de 15 pouces.
Conçue pour répondre aux besoins des pilotes, FlytX est l’aboutissement pour Thales de 10 années de recherche et développement.
Cette nouvelle suite, particulièrement compacte, devrait, par sa conception avionique, améliorer la sécurité des vols en VFR (vol à vue).
Disponible sur le marché du retrofit, cette suite permet aux pilotes d’utiliser n’importe quelle application dédiée à leurs missions et de
relier le système d’hélicoptère au monde extérieur.
