HELICOPTER INDUSTRY I BREAKING NEWS I INTERNATIONAL ©Sikorsky AEM LOUDSPEAKER SYSTEM SELECTED FOR SIKORSKY S-70I FIREHAWK Anodyne Electronics Manufacturing Corp. (AEM), a subsidiary of Structural Monitoring Systems Plc. was selected to supply the loudspeaker systems for seven new Sikorsky S-70i Firehawk helicopters, three of which were delivered to California in December 2019. United Rotorcraft and Sikorsky selected AEM’s LS1320 loudspeaker system to provide air-to-ground communication for the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire), the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) and the City of San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. The Firehawk is outfitted with specialized equipment to meet the demands of California’s growing wildfire challenges, including a newly designed water tank, 600 lb external rescue hoist, a 9,000 lb cargo hook and a 1,320 watt loudspeaker system from AEM. United Rotorcraft and Sikorsky are expected to deliver more than a dozen S-70i Firehawk aircraft in the next two years. (AEM), une filiale de Structural Monitoring Systems a été sélectionnée pour fournir les systèmes de haut-parleurs de sept nouveaux hélicoptères Sikorsky S-70i Firehawk, dont les trois premiers exemplaires ont été livrés en Californie en décembre 2019. United Rotorcraft et Sikorsky ont choisi le système de haut-parleurs LS1320 d’AEM afin d’assurer les communications air-sol du Département des forêts et de la protection contre les incendies (CalFire), du service des incendies du comté de Los Angeles (LACoFD) et du Service de secours de la ville de San Diego. Le FireHawk est équipé d’un équipement spécialisé afin de répondre aux exigences des incendies de forêt de plus en plus fréquents en Californie avec notamment l’intégration d’un réservoir d’eau de conception nouvelle, d’un treuil de sauvetage externe de 600 livres, d’un crochet de charge de 9 000 livres et un système de haut-parleurs de 1 320 watts d’AEM.
