The key is to encourage collaboration between
cities, startups and other mobility services. Without
teamwork, there is no way cities will be able to offer
functional and efficient transportation systems that
everybody can use in the future. The end goal should
always be to improve the quality of life for citizens,
and that cannot happen without cooperation.
The biggest We difficulty want to we become faced the when best mobility working with
cities was identifying technology the company right stakeholders in the world. that were
involved in mobility-related
Our vision is a robust commitment
decision
to create
making.
a world
It
of
is one of
individual, intelligent and connected mobility. We create
those things that
technology
sounds
to improve
much
the quality
simpler
of life of people
than
living
it actually
is. As a startup, in cities we with have efficient always traffic, reduced been emissions used and to noise. working
Technology Companies
Connected Mobility
but how important is the Human aspect when it comes
to redefining mobility and actually changing the way
people see and use their cars? How can tech help?
We are driving the development of
Since we have innovative experience mobility in the solutions B2C realm, forward. we know
Mobility is a prerequisite for the creation of a holistic society
that the shift in attitudes that end users - who are…real
with economic growth, self-fulfillment and individual success.
people - have This been is why we experiencing want to use our technology is the to biggest help cities and reason
businesses develop sustainable mobility solutions.
why society has already started accepting car sharing
and other mobility types as a legitimate alternative to
private vehicle ownership. To put it in other words, it is
the users who really started the whole shared mobility
trend. By providing tech solutions that empower
people to access their mobility type of choice, tech is
giving people options they would not have otherwise
had, thereby making the mobility landscape more
democratic.
What are the next steps in the development
of the Wunder Mobility ecosystem?
Even though our portfolio covers almost every aspect
of mobility, we are currently working on launching
our first technology solution aimed at helping cities
analyze and optimize different mobility services in
their area. We have developed this technology on the
basis of the learnings we got out of being a multimodal
solution. We are also in the process of combining the
capabilities of different products in our portfolio and
offering them as a package solution, such as carpool
and parking.
What are your thoughts on the latest initiatives
around mobility that have been taken in Luxembourg?
We generally view any mobility initiatives that encourage
the use of public transportation favorably, particularly in
a country like Luxembourg where car ownership per capita
is very high. Electric vehicles are always better alternatives
to CO 2
-emitting fossil fuels. We definitely support free
Our public products transportation connect end-to-end - which is to start in March 2020
services in Luxembourg to create a -, connected if cities can afford it, but we do have
ecosystem to question of sustainable if those mobility and similar initiatives are genuinely
We encouraging are the only global company people that conceptualizes to stop purchasing private vehicles
and scales all variations of new mobility services as
entirely. At any rate, it is a major step in the right direction
part of its technology solutions.
- let’s see how it pans out!
