Dominicain Lisandro Macarrulla, se penche alors sur le cas de
diverses cités coloniales comparables à travers le continent
américain. Macarulla remarque alors l’efficacité du patrimoine
culturel des cités coloniales en matière d’harmonie citoyenne,
via des activités à la fois divertissantes, engagées et
pédagogiques telles que le Vieux San Juan à Porto Rico ou le
festival de Saint Sébastien ont su le démontrer. Un motif
digne d’inciter à la valorisation, transformation et rénovation
de la Zone Coloniale à travers la sensibilisation et promotion
de l’authenticité et spécificité dominicaine — au travers d’un
évènement inédit dans son approche transversale de la
culture, de la préservation et du rayonnement de la première
ville européenne du continent américain.
Tous à l’heure du festival ~ Les musées, églises,
propriétaires de restaurants et de bâtiments de la Zone
Coloniale se sont unis aux côtés des Ministères du Tourisme
et de la Culture sans compter le conseil municipal du district
national, Politur, AMET, Asoconde, Asepe, Icomos,
Patrimonio Cultural et les associations de quartier de la
Zone Coloniale.
Pour l’occasion, l’ensemble des musées restera ouvert
jusqu’à minuit, les cloches de toutes les églises alentours
sonneront chaque soir à l’unisson, et les restaurants
élaboreront un menu thématique à même de fournir cette
touche de saveur caractéristique du peuple dominicain.
Le festival comprendra un espace dédié à l’artisanat avec
des ateliers où les artisans pourront démontrer leur travail
et talent, à travers une multitude d’ateliers pratiques,
musicaux, artistiques, gastronomiques et littéraires.
History on the History ~ The Birth of the
festival comes from the Dominican Lisandro Macarrulla,
further evaluating some historical cases of the sister colonial
cities of the American continent.
Macarulla observed the effectiveness of uniting the people
of a colonial city, with its culture in a recreational, didactic
and committed manner, as Old San Juan de Puerto Rico
and the San Sebastian festival have done. This motivation
advocates the education, transformation and revival of the
Colonial City, creating awareness and appreciation of
Dominican authenticity and idiosyncrasy, being the first
event in which diverse sectors unite for culture, preservation
and the projection of the first European city of the American
continent.
All on board for the festival! ~ The museums,
churches, restaurant owners and owners of houses of the
Colonial City have united, working together with the Ministry
of Tourism, Ministry of Culture, the City Council of the
National District, Politur, AMET, Asoconde, Asepe, Icomos,
Patrimonio Cultural and the neighborhood meetings of the
Colonial City.
In fact, all the museums will be open until 12:00 at night. There
will be bells from all the churches playing in unison at night,
and all the restaurants will elaborate a thematic menu that will
provide that touch of flavor that characterizes us as a people.
The festival will have an area of artisans and workshops
where the same artisans can show their work and teach their
talent to visitors through numerous craft workshops, music,
art, gastronomy and literature.
