BD FocalPoint imaging System
Instrumentation
Intended for automated screening of BD SurePath and/or conventional slides.
The BD FocalPoint Slide Profiler prioritizes slides based on likelihood of abnormality to help
cytotechnologists reduce false negatives. By using multiple algorithms a score (0.0 to 1.0) is assigned
to each slide based on the probability of abnormality.The system operates 24hours per day with a daily
capacity of 250 conventional slides or 425 BD SurePath slides.
One Workstation can be connected to up to 4 BD FocalPoint Slide Profilers.
The BD FocalPoint Slide Profiler is used in combination with the BD GS Review Station.
The BD GS Review Station identifies and guides the screener to the fields most likely to contain abnormal cells.

The Viper LT is a fully automated and integrated tabletop instrument for molecular testing.The Viper
LT offers you an efficient workflow with a minimum of hands on time that maximizes laboratory and
resources. The system is using Real time PCR for HPV testing and SDA technology for CT/GC testing. 4
different channels for fluorescent detection allows to apply highly efficient. The system has a troughput
of 120 samples per 8.5 hrs shift. The unique design of the BD Onclarity HPV assay enables you to assess
information for six individual genotypes and three small genotype pools from a single sample offering
clinicians a more personalized picture of patient disease risk factors.
