Cytology Screening BD FocalPoint imaging System Instrumentation Intended for automated screening of BD SurePath and/or conventional slides. The BD FocalPoint Slide Profiler prioritizes slides based on likelihood of abnormality to help cytotechnologists reduce false negatives. By using multiple algorithms a score (0.0 to 1.0) is assigned to each slide based on the probability of abnormality.The system operates 24hours per day with a daily capacity of 250 conventional slides or 425 BD SurePath slides. One Workstation can be connected to up to 4 BD FocalPoint Slide Profilers. The BD FocalPoint Slide Profiler is used in combination with the BD GS Review Station.
