The <strong>BD</strong> Kiestra InoqulA is the new standard for inoculation. This high<br />

throughput solution is able to process both liquid and non-liquid samples using<br />

the unique Rolling Bead, which will ensure single colonies.<br />

Rolling Bead<br />

• This unique and innovative inoculation technique has been demonstrated<br />

to generate up to 3 to 5 times more single colonies compared to manual<br />

streaking methods<br />

• The rolling bead covers a larger surface of agar than any other manual or<br />

The <strong>BD</strong> Kiestra WCA is a modular solution designed for labs of all sizes<br />

that enables automated specimen processing, plate incubation and digital<br />

imaging in a compact footprint.<br />

Inoculation<br />

The New Standard for Specimen Processing <strong>BD</strong> Kiestra InoqulA <br />

automates the processing of both liquid and non-liquid bacteriology<br />

specimens to help streamline workflow, enable standardized processes and<br />

ensure consistent and high quality streaking.<br />

Incubation<br />

Intelligent incubation is possible with the 2nd generation <strong>BD</strong> Kiestra <br />

incubator. The <strong>BD</strong> Kiestra ReadA Compact intelligent incubation and<br />

imaging system combines the perfect atmosphere with automatic dynamic<br />

digital imaging and individual plate storage within a small footprint. The<br />

ReadA Compact uses a new high resolution industrial camera and three<br />

different LED light sources, ensuring an optimal image is created for all<br />

sample and media types. Depending on your needs, the WCA concept can<br />

be configured with up to three ReadA Compact systems.<br />

Reading - Digital Imaging<br />

The ReadA Browser software application provides an easy to use and clear<br />

plate image overview per specimen so that the growth dynamics can be<br />

reviewed. Users can choose a specimen or patient driven overview.<br />

Reading - Telebacteriology<br />

Working anytime and anywhere is now possible. As a result of the Internet,<br />

boundaries of time and location have disappeared. The ability to work from<br />

multiple locations allows for flexibility to create an optimal workflow and a<br />

quick response time.
