Chez Message Factory, nous croyons que chaque être humain possède un talent unique et que sa contribution<br />

vêtement à la fois. Nous croyons en la création et la production locale de vêtements qui inspirent la bonté<br />

joyful garments that we make locally in Montreal, Canada using organic and recycled fabrics.<br />

Voilà pourquoi nous avons créé le projet « UPCYCLING » par<br />
Message Factory. Une collection de vêtements pour enfants de<br />
0 à 10 ans et des accessoires de maison fabriqués à partir de nos<br />
retailles et de vos bons vieux vêtements Message Factory. Pour y<br />
parvenir, nous récupérons ces derniers pour les sauver de l’oubli<br />
ou des poubelles, nous les transformons pour ainsi les faire<br />
suivre à la génération qui suit et leur offrir une seconde vie!<br />
Introducing UPCYCLING by Message Factory our initiative<br />
to close the loop and give our messages and our planet a make<br />
over. What is it? A 0 to 10-year-old children collection and<br />
home accessories all made from your good old Message Factory<br />
clothing.<br />
To make it happen, we will recuperate your preloved Message<br />
Factory clothing from the forgotten closet and give them a<br />
second life by turning them into something beautiful, original<br />
and inspiring.<br />

NOS TISSUS ∙ OUR FABRICS<br />
COTON BIOLOGIQUE<br />
ORGANIC COTTON<br />
De toutes les cultures, la culture conventionnelle du<br />
coton est la plus polluante au monde, car elle utilise<br />
le plus d’herbicides et de pesticides. Ces deux agents<br />
détruisent les sols et rendent malades les gens qui travaillent<br />
aux champs ainsi que ceux qui habitent le voisinage.<br />
Ils peuvent également causer des réactions pour<br />
les personnes ayant la peau sensible. La fibre de coton<br />
biologique, quant à elle, est plus épaisse et anallergique.<br />
Opter pour le coton biologique au lieu du coton régulier<br />
est un geste concret pour préserver la vie.<br />
Certifié SKAL, notre fibre est filée en Suisse et le matériel<br />
est tricoté et teint à Montréal. Nous mélangeons le<br />
coton à du Spandex afin de maximiser le confort et<br />
d’améliorer la durabilité du produit.<br />
The conventional cultivation of cotton is the most polluting<br />
type of cultivation in the world because it uses<br />
the most herbicides and pesticides. These two agents<br />
ruin the soil and are a danger to those who cultivate it<br />
and to those who live nearby. They can also cause reactions<br />
for those who have sensitive skin. On the other<br />
hand, the organic cotton fiber is thicker and hypoallergenic.<br />
Choosing organic cotton instead of regular cotton<br />
is a choice to preserve life.<br />
Our SKAL certified fiber is spun in Switzerland and the<br />
fabric is knitted and dyed in Montreal. We also incorporate<br />
Spandex to our cotton to maximize comfort and<br />
to improve the durability of our product.<br />

Le Tencel est le nom déposé de Lenzing pour la fibre Lyocell<br />
fabriquée à partir de pulpe d’eucalyptus 100 % écologique.<br />
Contrairement à la culture du coton, l’arbre d’eucalyptus<br />
pousse sur des terres asséchées et nécessite peu d’eau pour<br />
croître. De plus, il a l’effet d’irriguer les sols. Fibre d’une douceur<br />
inégalée, le Tencel protège contre les bactéries, absorbe<br />
l’humidité et joue également un rôle isotherme. Tout comme<br />
la pure laine vierge, il contrôle la température du tissu sur la<br />
peau. Il est donc chaud l’hiver et frais l’été.<br />
Le Polyester recyclé est un tissu fait de bouteilles de plastique<br />
recyclées permettant de réduire notre impact sur l’environnement.<br />
Le polyester sèche vite, il est durable et résistant<br />
à l’abrasion. Le Tencel et le polyester recyclé mélangés ensemble<br />
offrent un résultat optimal pour ceux qui ne font pas<br />
de compromis entre le côté performant et le côté écologique !<br />
Le Tencel, à l’extérieur, est responsable de l’absorption et du<br />
contrôle l’humidité. À l’intérieur, le polyester recyclé assure<br />
l’évacuation rapide de l’humidité. Enfin nous mélangeons le<br />
tout au Spandex afin de maximiser le confort.<br />
Our Tencel fabric is made of 100% organic eucalyptus pulp.<br />
Contrary to cotton-growing, the eucalyptus tree grows on<br />
dry soil and requires very little water. It even irrigates the<br />
soil. This soft fibre protects against bacteria, absorbs humidity<br />
and acts as an isotherm. Just like pure virgin wool,<br />
this fibre controls the materials temperature on the skin. So<br />
Tencel fabric is warm in the winter, but cool in the summer.<br />
On the other hand, recycled polyester is made of recycled<br />
plastic bottles. It dries fast, it is durable and resistant to<br />
abrasions. Both materials mixed together offer optimal<br />
results to those who do not want to choose between performance<br />
and ecology. On the exterior, the Tencel fabric is<br />
responsible for humidity control and absorption, while the<br />
recyled polyester material ensures the rapid evacuation of<br />
humidity from the interior. Finally, we incorporate Spandex<br />
to the mix in order to maximise comfort .<br />

c’est l’écologie. Nous ne voulons pas gaspiller<br />
et jeter des vêtements usagés ou des tissus de<br />
deuxième choix parce qu’ils vont se retrouver dans<br />
les sites d’enfouissement et polluer la planète.<br />
Notre tricot de coton recyclé est fabriqué à partir<br />
de vêtements récupérés qui sont déchiquetés en<br />
fibres utilisable et mélangées avec du polyester et<br />
