Models of the cupola and lantern of Santa Maria del Fiore in published<br />
and unpublished documents<br />
My speech will concentrate primarily on models (made from wood or stone), which<br />
have been built in the course of constructing the cupola dome of Santa Maria del Fiore<br />
in Florence by Filippo Bruneleschi. Moreover I will report on models referring to the<br />
Cathedral of Florence. Research in the documents being preserved in the Florentine<br />
opera´s archives will disclose some peculiarities concerning the wooden model of the<br />
lantern, which is being kept in the Museo dell´Opera.<br />
