About
Our collective and biological memory, the idea we have of
ourselves, others, the space in which we live, and aggregations
rituals affect the connection between us and others. Words,
sounds, and images are the basis of coexistence and are
fundamental to creating dialogues, sharing, and progress.
Every human being has those elements to create his reality
confirming that every human is a creator, an artist.
Involving different kinds of communities and groups of
people, and embracing inner speeches, my artistic research
shows social experiences as a simple representation of the
eternal changing of life in a continuous dialogue with our own
spaces. Using moving images and words, referring to specific
human conditions (in choosing participants of my videos and
my actions), this representation lets emerge the emotional
and spiritual dimensions creating a real connection with the
world in which we live and within us.
Waking Dreams
Indigo (7’57’’, single-channel video) is the story of humans
who lost their trust in the Higher Powers: Chiron, Water and
Time. There is just one Believer, but if she is dreaming,
desiring or remembering we will never know.
Made in four different languages (English, Dutch, German
and French), it is divided into five chapters.
Shadow is part of Deep Blue Sea EP by R.E.A (Andrea Frahn)
Inspired by the long shadows of the midnight sun, this video
is a collaboration between video art and pop music.
D.A.N.L. (1’22’’, single channel video) is a video made of
thirty-one different skies. A voice-over tells poetically a
personal violent experiences that my body told me during
silence moments.
My artistic practice, after my staying at Arteles Creative
Center, is in changing mode: if before I was more focus on
reality, now I am opening my research to dreams, poetry and
fantasy, that till now I was hiding to my self even if they were
present latently in my actions, thoughts and work.
