About
I find an exciting energy in the interaction between landscape,
body and object. I have been exploring emerging ideas about
interconnectedness, between self and environment, self and
others. In live art and performance I am discovering a new
way to connect and engage with those around me, and which
is most authentic to me. My physical presence and being,
in conjunction with made and found objects, are tools that
provide a compelling new way of sharing and communicating
with others on themes that matter to me.
Open Revive Connect
The forest drew me in, walking barefoot through it, my
awareness expanded. I noticed and felt. I drew and danced,
sometimes filming this. The lakes spread before me inviting
rest, soothing me. Moving in the water softened my edges.
Collaborating with Emma to make a short film together, we
connected through the lakes' embrace. I wrote with crisp
sticks of white chalk on the indigo coloured chalkboard,
moving fast and continuously across its surface, writing
out my ancestors, my loved ones into a many layered lace
of words. I listened and talked, as stories and insights
were shared with those alongside me. Sitting side by side
in the sauna the heat began to dissolve our boundary layer.
Lying on the ground and gazing into the Northern Lights my
perceptions shifted, the sky was rearranging and so was I.
