HOW TO GET THERE:<br />
There is no airport in Koh Lanta, so<br />
those looking to escape in this beautiful<br />
world must fly to Krabi first (daily direct<br />
flights from Chiang Mai with Air Asia<br />
- see schedule page 54). From Krabi<br />
there are a number of private tour<br />
companies that can arrange for mini-bus<br />
or boat travel to Koh Lanta and include<br />
fees for ferries and other transfers. The<br />
journey takes between 1 to 2 hours.<br />
When making a reservation through<br />
The Houben Web site, the hotel<br />
offers free transfer from Krabi.<br />
You can also travel from Phuket<br />
which offers many buses from the<br />
center to Krabi city.<br />
