3PrefaceThe German violinist and musicteacher Oskar Rieding is famous tothis day for his easy violin concertosfor beginners. With this edition wepresent you with his Concerto forViolin and Piano op. 36 in D Major,which should be included in therepertoire of every violin pupil. Theconcerto can be played entirely in the1 st position. Our edition enables youto learn the piece systematically atthree different tempi with a professionalaccompaniment.The CD opens with the concertversion of each movement (violin andpiano). After tuning your instrument(Track 1), the musical work can begin.Your first practice session shouldbe at slow tempo. If your stereo systemis equipped with a balance control,you can place either the violinor the piano accompaniment in theforeground by adjusting the control.The violin always remains softly audiblein the background as a guide.In the middle position, both instrumentscan be heard at the same volume.If you do not have a balancecontrol, you can listen to the solo parton one loudspeaker and the pianopart on the other. Having masteredthe slow tempo, you can now advanceto the medium and original tempos.The piano accompaniment can beheard on both channels (withoutviolin) in stereo quality. Each movementhas been sensibly divided intosubsections for practice purposes. Youcan select the subsection you wantusing the track numbers indicatedin the solo part. If the fermatas inthis piece are held, you can find yournext entry with the help of the metronomeclicks. All of the versionswere recorded live. Ce concerto peutêtre joué entièrement dans la premièreposition. Notre édition vousoffre la possibilité de travailler l’œuvred’une manière systématique dans troisdifférents tempos avec un accompagnementprofessionnel.Le CD vous permettra d’entendred’abord la version de concert de chaquemouvement (violon et piano).Après avoir accordé votre instrument(plage n° 1), vous pourrez commencerle travail musical. Votre premiercontact avec le morceau devrait sefaire à un tempo lent. Si votre chaînehi-fi dispose d’un réglage de balance,vous pouvez l’utiliser pour mettre aupremier plan soit le violon, soit l’accompagnementde piano. Le violonrestera cependant toujours très doucementà l’arrière-plan comme pointde repère. En équilibrant la balance,vous entendrez les deux instruments àvolume égal. Si vous ne disposez pasde réglage de balance, vous entendrezl’instrument soliste sur un des hautparleurset le piano sur l’autre. Aprèsavoir étudié le morceau à un tempolent, vous pourrez ensuite travailler àun tempo modéré et au tempo original.Dans ces deux tempos vous entendrezl’accompagnement de pianosur les deux canaux en stéréo (sansla partie soliste). Chaque mouvementa été judicieusement divisé en sectionspour faciliter le travail. Vouspouvez sélectionner ces sections àl’aide des numéros de plages indiquésdans la partie du soliste. Si les pointsd’orgues dans le morceau doivent êtretenus, le métronome vous aidera àtrouver l’enchaînement.
