Two bottles of the world’s oldest<br />
champagne, which spent about<br />
170 years at the bottom of the<br />
ocean, sold for 54 000 Euros<br />
($73,700) at an auction in Finland<br />
on 3 June, <strong>2011</strong>.<br />
The second lot, containing vintage<br />
Veuve, fetched 30 000 Euros,<br />
which the auction house,<br />
New York-based wine specialist<br />
Acker Merrall & Condit, said was<br />
the most paid for a bottle.<br />
“This is truly a historic event,”<br />
Stephane Baschiera, president<br />
of Veuve Clicquot, said in a<br />
statement before the sale. “We<br />
have worked closely with the<br />
government of Aaland since the<br />
discovery of the shipwreck to<br />
help salvage and protect the pre-<br />

Parmi ces bouteilles de champagne,<br />
un premier lot de deux<br />

enchères en Finlande le 3 Juin<br />
<strong>2011</strong>. Après avoir passé 170 ans<br />
au fond de l’océan, elles ont été<br />
vendues pour 54 000 Euros.<br />
Le deuxième lot, une bouteille<br />
de Veuve Clicquot, a atteint le<br />
prix de 30 000 Euros. La maison<br />

c’était le plus haut montant<br />
jamais payé pour une bouteille<br />

cantidad más alta jamás pagada<br />
por una botella de champán.<br />
“Esto es verdaderamente un<br />
acontecimiento histórico”, afirmó<br />
Stéphane Baschiera, presidente<br />
de Veuve Clicquot, en un comunicado<br />
