Installation, Operation and Maintenance InstructionModel LSB11. Motor Operating InstructionsThe following instructions must be followedexactly, to guarantee the safety at theinstallation, at the operation and at themaintenance of the motor. All persons shouldbe directed to the present manual which areperforming these tasks. The neglect of theinstructions can cause the loss of theguarantee.Electrical connectionsMake sure that the rated voltage corresponds tothe supply voltage.Ground the pump before making any otherconnection. We recommend that a high sensitivitydifferential switch (30 mA) be installed as extraprotection against lethal electric shocks in theevent of faulty grounding.Connect the pump to the mains using a multiple-poleswitch or other device ensuring multiple-poledisconnection (interruption of all the supply wires) fromthe mains, with a contact separation of at least 3 mm.Remove the terminal board cover by first removing thescrews.Carry out the connections as indicated on the back ofthe terminal board cover, and as shown in fig. 3 - 4.The single-phase version has a built-in overloadprotection; the three-phase version must be equippedby the user with a magneto-thermal switch ormagnetic starter with overload and undervoltageprotection, a thermal relay and fuses installedupstream. The overload relay must be set to the motor currentrating. The thermal relay may be set to a current valueslightly lower than the full load value when the electricpump is definitely underloaded, but the thermaloverload protection must not be set to current valueshigher than the full load values.Fault finding chartPROBLEM PROBABLE CAUSE POSSIBLEREMEDIES1.
