COMPLIMENTI PER AVER SCELTO UN
PRODOTTO SCARPA
sistema debba diventare operativo.
per lesioni all'utilizzatore.
SCARPA
adotta una politica di continuo sviluppo. SCARPA si riserva il diritto di
effettuare modifiche e miglioramenti a qualsiasi prodotto descritto nel
presente documento senza alcun preavviso.
PER I VOSTRI SCARPONI SEGUIRE LE SEGUEN-
TI ISTRUZIONI:
sostituzione delle leve;
3) Non smontare, modificare, alterare questi scarponi;
logorate, danneggiate o mancanti;
debitamente chiuse;
prima di chiuderli;
camminare su superfici abrasive, etc;
scivolose;
9) Trasporta i tuoi scarponi in una borsa apposita;
benessere del piede e una migliore calzata;
SCARPETTE
03
Scarpette SCARPA/Intuition: leggere
e calde, queste scarpette termoformabili
sono state progettate per offrire
ottime prestazioni in ogni modello
SCARPA.
PLACCA TLT SLIDING: LOW o HIGH
SPEED + SPEED LITE + VERTICAL RACE Ti + LOW TECH RACE.
VERTICAL FT + VERTICAL ST + VERTICAL RENTAL + COMFORT
SOSTITUZIONE SUOLE INTERCAMBIABILI RIDE /
RALLY
PROTEZIONE BORCHIE
Per limitare l'usura della scarpetta,
applicare gli adesivi rotondi sui
rivetti almeno 12 ore prima dell'utilizzo
in modo che il collante
aggrappi meglio (foto 17).
13 14
10
LEVE
esagonale.
23
24
11
12
SOSTITUZIONE FASCE VELCRO E BOOSTER
come accessorio.
MECCANISMO
F1 E F1 RACE
Cambiamenti incredibilmente
veloci con
una singola azione
della leva. Tre opzioni
di inclinazione: da 18°
a 22° gradi. Svitare il
meccanismo e trovare
la regolazione ottimale.
27 28
29
13
14
MECCANISMO FISSO POWERBLOCK
36
WALK SKI FORWARD LEAN
Alcuni modelli possiedono un'ulteriore personalizzazione
dell'inclinazione del gambetto.
Regolare l'inclinazione con la vite esagonale
posta all'estremità del gambetto.
ruotare la chiavetta esagonale a brugola (A1) lentamente in senso
orario per un giro e mezzo. Evitare qualunque sforzo eccessivo nella
rotazione della chiavetta.
39
16
WALK TONGUE/SKI TONGUE
2) Have a professional technician properly adjust your bindings to your
new boots. SCARPA makes boots to fit many different binding standards
(75mm telemark, NTN telemark, Alpine, Alpine Touring, TLT), care must
be taken to ensure bindings are properly adjusted to your new SCARPA
boots.
3) Do not disassemble, modify, or otherwise alter your boots.
4) Inspect your boots before each use. Do not use your boots if any parts
(buckles, rivets, shell, tongues, sole, etc.) are missing, damaged or worn
out.
5) Do not ski until all boot buckles are closed securely.
6) Remove snow and dirt from the points of contact between your boots
and bindings prior to stepping into the bindings.
7) Avoid scuffing when walking in your ski boots, and avoid activities
that would otherwise damage the boot sole such as hiking, climbing on
abrasive surface, etc.
8) Walk carefully on slippery surfaces.
9) Transport your boots in a protective boot bag.
10) Wear socks of suitable size and thickness for the best comfort and
fit in the boots.
11) These boots should be repaired and maintained only by an authorized
SCARPA dealer. If you experience abnormal pain, numbness, or
extreme cold in your foot, ankle, or lower leg area while wearing these
boots, we recommend consulting your authorized SCARPA dealer for
evaluation and service.
MATERIALS
SCARPA boots are made with a variety of high-performance plastics
including PEBAX®, a special plastic with excellent mechanical, physical
and chemical properties over a wide range of flexibility.
• Incredibly strong: great flex fatigue resistance
• 20% lighter than common ski boot materials
• Minimal affect to ambient temperature
Some plastics may develop a pale white surface film over time. This is
a normal occurrence, due to the natural oils contained in this material.
Wipe boots with a soft wet cloth to remove. The pigments used in boot
colouring degrade with long exposure to direct sunlight. Store boots in
original box or away from direct sunlight.
CONSTRUCTION
SCARPA's multi-injection boots balance 'uncompromised' power transmission
and weight. In addition, multi-injection allows having the shell
softer in sensible areas, like the instep, for better fit, or bellows for perfect
flex.
Even some TLT-compatible models feature an Ergonomic Bellows for
incredible, natural flexing touring performance. These specific models
require mounting an adapter Plate under the bellows (see SLIDE TLT
ADAPTER notes).
01 02
LINERS
03
SCARPA-Intuition Liners: Light and
warm, these heat-moldable liners are
designed for maximum performance
for each model boot. These liners are
incredibly moldable, resilient, and
supportive. No footbed is required -
the foam is commonly used in orthopedic
footbeds - though orthotics
and footbeds fit well when molded.
PlusFit® custom-moldable liners are proven from years of use and have
set the standard for all custom liners to be compared.
Cordura® liners are incredibly durable with out-of-the-box convenience.
*See the “Heat-Moldable Liner Owner Manual” that comes with all
Intuition and Plusfit liners for specifics on fitting/molding.
CAUTION: When removing/reinserting liners care is required. Inspect
shell/liner when reinserting to ensure that the heel tab of the shell is
properly positioned.
SLIDE TLT ADAPTER PLATE: LOW OR HIGH
For maximum performance with TLT bindings, we recommend using a
Slide TLT Adapter Plate with the TX Pro/Terminator X/F1/F1 Race & F3
boots. Supporting these boots under the bellows optimizes boot/binding
performance.
PROCEDURE:
The Slide TLT Adapter Plate attaches to the Dynafit Ski Crampon fitting
and follows the same process for inserting/removing the crampon.
• Hold the adapter plate vertical relative to the ski and slide the plate
into the binding's ski crampon slot (picture 06).
• The plate will be centered and flat on the ski, when correctly installed
(picture 07).
• Reverse the action to remove the Slide Adapter Plate.
THERE ARE TWO HEIGHTS FOR THE SLIDE TLT ADAPTER PLATE:
The LOW adapter fits the SPEED + SPEED LITE + VERTICAL RACE Ti +
LOW TECH RACE.
NOTE: If using TLT bindings without brakes, mount the included heel
support centered directly under the heel (picture 08) to keep heel at
necessary height when touring.
The HIGH adapter fits the VERTICAL FT + VERTICAL ST + VERTICAL REN-
TAL + COMFORT.
INTERCHANGEABLE SOLES
SCARPA freeride boots have two different sole options.
• The “RIDE” SOLE is ISO Alpine certified (DIN standard) as well as
UNI-compatible for all touring bindings. With this revolutionary sole,
SCARPA's Tornado Pro is the world's first TUV-approved boot for both
alpine bindings and ski touring bindings.
A A B A
RIDE SOLE
• The “RALLY” SOLE is lugged for better grip on snow and can be used
with all ski touring and freeride bindings.
RALLY SOLE
A A B A
A A B A
09
Both soles, RIDE & RALLY, are assembled with two different screws:
POSITION A: 12 silver screws (dim. 4*11,5 mm.)
POSITION B: 4 black screws (dim. 4*10 mm.)
Note that the toe of the Rally sole has right and left.
To replace the sole, use a Phillips screwdriver. If necessary, consult your
authorized SCARPA dealer for evaluation and service.
WARNING: DO NOT USE ANY ELECTRIC DRILL AS ROTATION-SPEED CAN
DAMAGE THE THREAD ON THE SHELL.
REVERSIBLE FRONT BUCKLE ON HURRICANE
Depending on the skier preferences, the front buckle can easily be
inverted.
REQUIRED FOR PROCEDURE (ALL INCLUDED WITH BOOTS):
• 2 LONG STRAPS
• 2 T-NUTS
• HEXAGONAL KEY (4MM ALLEN)
PROCEDURE:
• REMOVE ALL FRONT BUCKLE HARDWARE
• REMOVE RACK FROM SHORT STRAP
• ATTACH RACK DIRECTLY TO BOOT
• ATTACH BUCKLE TO LONG STRAP USING THE T-NUTS
• ATTACH LONG STRAP TO BOOT
BEFORE AFTER
11 12
SUGGESTION FOR EASE OF ENTRY:
HURRICANE / TYPHOON / DOMINA BOOTS
For easy entry of these boots, move all forefoot buckle straps forward
as shown below (picture 13 & 14). This allows quick and proper positioning
of the tongue (picture 16) and buckle straps.
RIVET PROTECTION
To prevent premature liner wear,
apply supplied round adhesive patches
directly over the rivet
heads on the shell at least 12 hours
before use so that the glue adheres
properly (picture 17).
13 14
15 16
17
27
28
BUCKLE ADJUSTMENT
Rotate the buckle hook assembly clockwise, or counter-clockwise to
achieve the desired buckle closure tension (picture 18). Micro-adjustment
permits a precise “fine tuned” tension for the best fit. The “Easy
Lock” buckles have the mobile pulling pivot reduces closing effort 51%.
In addition, some models have an extension on the top buckle to accommodate
a much larger range (picture 19).
MACRO ADJUSTABLE RACKS
For larger increment changes in the boot's closure circumference, move
the rack position. Use hexagonal key. A tour-extension clip on the rack
improves securing the buckle when walking.
18
19
20
LEASH ATTACHMENT RING
ALL of SCARPA's 75mm Telemark boots have a leash ring conveniently
incorporated into the forefoot buckle.
21 22
HEEL RETENTION STRAP AND MID WIRE STRAP
SCARPA's Heel Retention Strap and Mid Wire Strap provide incredible
heel lock for both skiing and walking. Threaded replacement
cuff rivets are available, allowing for easy replacement using hexagonal
key.
Replacing worn in-step straps has never been easier. Using a 4mm
hex, anyone can remove the cuff rivet at home or in the field. Care
is required: brace the t-nut inside to shell to prevent stripping.
23
24
29
30
POWERSTRAP / BOOSTER REPLACEMENT
PowerStraps maximize the transmission of energy from the skier's leg
to the ski. The Booster Strap is an elasticized power strap that increases
power and response even more, while eliminating shin-bang. It's
comes standard on certain models but is available as an accessory to
up-grade any boot. Both straps are fixed to the cuff by a screw and have
a right and left or the SCARPA logo should read the correct way.
SPOILER
Spoilers help provide
added support and
allow for a more
aggressive skier stance.
All boots with velcro
on the liner have
the option of adding a
spoiler. Attention is
required to position
the spoiler for optimal
use.
25
26
Typhoon and Skookum have a fixed plastic spoiler on the cuff (picture
27). It is easily adjustable in heights by using a PH3 screwdriver (picture
28). This spoiler is also available to retrofit on Domina boots, too.
27 28
F1 / F1 RACE SKI/WALK MECHANISM
Incredibly quick transitions
with single
lever action.
Three forward lean
options: from 18° to
22° degrees.
Unscrew mechanism
and match to desired
setting.
29
31
32
POWERBLOCK
The Hurricane and T-Race cuff incorporates the POWERBLOCK design
which creates a complete lock between cuff and shell. The aluminium
block is very low profile but mega strong for maximum support and
power. Personalize the forward lean setting with a PH3 screwdriver.
Refer to the notches molded in the cuff beside the Power block to ensure
identical forward lean setting on both boots.
“SKI/WALK” MECHANISM
In “WALK” position the different mechanisms allow the cuff to move
freely for walking comfort (32-33-34). Lock the cuff into rigid “SKI”
mode for downhill skiing (35-36-37). Some models have two positions
(walk and ski) and some models have three positions: walk, and two ski
positions with different forward lean settings.
SKI
35 37
36
MICRO ADJUST FORWARD
LEAN
Some models have a micro adjustment system.
Adjust with the Allen screw at the top of the
cuff, this allows a +2° or - 2° adjustment for
desired forward lean.
38
CANTING ADJUSTMENT
The cant affects the lateral positioning of the cuff relative to the foot to
maximize edge control.
Adjust cant using key (picture 39, A) furnished with the boots.
1) To unlock the mechanism, insert the hexagonal key (picture 39, A1)
and turn slowly (counterclockwise) one and a half turns. Do not force
the key.
2) Insert “U” key (picture 39, A2) turning slowly to modify the incline
from a central/neutral position to different degrees towards inside or
outside.
3) Once desired cant is achieved, lock the mechanism again by turning
the hexagonal key (picture 39, A1) slowly (clockwise) one and half turns.
TONGUES
All SCARPA tongues can be replaced and, depending on model, different
tongues may be available for different performance characteristics. Our
walk tongue offers unrestricted forward flex for touring/walking while
our ski tongue offers incredible stiffness for maximum energy transmission.
REPLACEABLE EDGE GUARDS
In an effort to keep your boots skiing as long as possible, many
SCARPA boots have edge guards that can be easily replaced. On the
T1/T-Race/TX & TX Pro, the replaceable edge guard is integrated into
the tongue.
OPTIMIZED TOURING PIVOT
In order to maximize all efficiencies when moving uphill, some models
with TLT fittings have moved the tech toe fittings further under the foot.
This effectively makes for a more natural stride that offers significant
energy savings - especially important on big days!
NOTE: mounting location is different than standard TLT mounting
instructions.
MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS: boot center to ski center
1. Mount the TLT heel piece in the standard mounting location
2. Use the chart below to mount the TLT toe piece: move the toe
MAINTENANCE AND ADVICE
While SCARPA Ski Boots require very little maintenance or service, you
can prolong their useful life by storing them properly.
1) Your SCARPA Ski Boots should be cleaned only with water and mild
soap. Cleaning with other chemicals could destroy the ski boots.
2) Should the innerboot (liner) become wet, remove it and allow it to dry
slowly. Do not place the innerboots near heaters, fireplaces, microwave
ovens, or any other sources of direct heat.
3) Store the boots in a dark, dry, well ventilated place at room tempera-
ture. Store with all buckles (not too tightly) closed.
4) Do not expose your SCARPA ski boots to temperatures above 45 C, or
110 F.
5) Contact your authorized SCARPA dealer if you have any questions
regarding these maintenance tips or have any other questions.
WARRANTY
SCARPA warrants to the initial purchaser its boots to be free from
defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for
and fitness for purpose shall be limited to one (1) year from
the date of purchase. SCARPA disclaims any and all other warranties,
express or implied. Buyer's sole remedy under the above limited warranty,
or under any implied warranty, is limited to the repair or replacement,
at SCARPA's sole option, of the boots or parts thereof. Buyer
should return boots to the place of purchase for warranty service. This
limited warranty, or any implied warranties, will apply only to boots that
exhibit normal use and service, and will not cover any damage resulting
from any misuse, modification, disassembly or alteration.
LIMITATION OF WARRANTY
In no event shall SCARPA be liable for incidental or consequential damages
including, without limitation, loss to property other than the boot,
loss of the use of the boots or other property, or other economic loss.
Note to U.S. Residents:
Some states do not allow limitations or the length of an implied warranty,
WALK TOUNGUE/ SKI TOUNGUE
1. Monter la partie arrière de la fixation TLT dans la position standard ;
01 02
INNENSCHUHE
Als der Schuh-Spezialist schlechthin
03
bietet Scarpa je nach Modell drei verschiedene
Innenschuh-Varianten an:
Scarpa-Intuition-Innenschuhe -
diese thermoverformbaren
Innenschuhe sind nicht nur ausgesprochen
leicht und warm, sondern
kommen auch noch in einer auf das
jeweilige Modell abgestimmten Form
Anziehen Tragekomfort ohne weiteres Anpassen.
CAL RACE Ti + LOW TECH RACE.
Prinzip funktionieren.
voll bewegliche Manschette erlaubt so bequemes Gehen bzw.
Aufsteigen.
