The use of chip-removing tools ismandatory for this alloy range. Using stonesinvariably leads to microscopic overlaps, which inturn will lead to bubble formation in the ceramicveneering material.Carefully sandblast the framework after finishing andcorrecting using 110-µm alumina at a recommendedpressure of 2 bars.Then the frameworks are cleaned by steam or in aclean ultrasonic bath (see fig. 1–4).Soldering and laser-weldingFor soldering and laser-welding metal frameworks,follow the comprehensive instructions and notes ofthe alloy manufacturer.To avoid tensions in the Duceragold Kiss veneeringporcelain, it is necessary to round off any sharpcorners and edges of the frame.28
