Installation1.1.1.48OverloadIf the electronic overload protection is activated(overload or overtemperature as a result of incorrectinstallation or inadequate cooling), the set degree ofbrightness of the lighting unit reduces. If overload /vertemperature is applied for a longer time, Dimmer6590U switches off.The supply voltage must be disconnected prior toremedying faults. Check the load on the dimmerand reduce if necessary.The dimmer is again ready for operation afterelimination ofthe overload and following an appropriatecooling-down phase.Short CircuitsIn case of a brief short-circuit of the load, the dimmer6593U-500/6594U-500 disconnects the connectedloads and re-connects them afterwards. In case of apermanent short-circuit, the dimmer switches offcompletely. The supply voltage must be disconnectedprior toremedying faults. After the fault has beenremedied,the dimmer is again ready for operation.
