CHECK THE FRONT BRAKE FLUID LEVELThe level of the fluid in the master cylinder reservoirmust never be below the minimum level visible throughthe inspection sight glass (1) on the side of the mastercylinder (2) body.A decrease of the fuel level will let air into the sustem, hence anextension of the level stroke.WARNING*:If the brake lever feels mushy whenpulled, there may be air in the brakelines or the brake may be defective.Since it is dangerous to operate the motorcycleunder such conditions, have thebrake system immediately checked bythe <strong>Husqvarna</strong> Dealer.2MIN1REAR BRAKE PEDAL FREE PLAY ADJUSTMENTBefore starting braking action, the rear brake controlpedal (1) must have free play (B) of 5-10 mm (0.196- 0.39 in).Should this not happen, operate as follows:- Loosen the nut (2);- Operate the master cylinder linkage (3) to increase ordecrease free play;- tighten nut (2) at the end of the operation.WARNING*:When the free play requirement is notmet, the brake pads will be subjectedto an early wear that may lead to TOTALBRAKE INEFFECTIVENESS.ENCAUTION*:Do not spill brake fluid onto any paintedsurface or lenses (for example lightslenses).CAUTION*:Do not mix two brands of fluid. Completelychange the brake fluid in thebrake system if you wish to switch toanother fluid brand.31CAUTION*:Brake fluid may cause irritation. Avoidcontact with skin or eyes.
