CONTROLSREFUELLINGUse UNLEADED petrol with octane rating of 95 orhigher only.CAUTION*:Using leaded fuel causes permanentdamage to the catalytic converterwhich loses its effectiveness.WARNING*:Fuel is extremely flammable and can beexplosive under certain conditions. Alwaysstop the engine and do not smokeor allow flames or sparks in the areawhere the motorcycle is refuelled orfuel is stored.WARNING*:Do not overfill the tank. Refer to thelower mark on filler. After refuelling,make sure the tank cap (3) is closed securely.3241SIDE STANDA side stand (1) is supplied with every motorcycle.To lower it, operate on the grip with your foot (2).WARNING*:The stand is designed to support theWEIGHT of the MOTORCYCLE ONLY. Donot sit astride the motorcycle using thestand for support as this could causestructural failure to the stand resultingin serious injury.WARNING*:The stand does NOT have automatic retraction.The stand has a rotary type switch thatturns off the engine if a gear is engagedwhen the stand is lowered.Periodically check the side stand (see “Scheduled MaintenanceChart”); make sure that the springs are notdamaged and the side stand freely moves. If the stand isnoisy, lubricate and check the retention pin (A).- Lift the flap (1), insert the key (2), turn it counterclockwiseand remove the tank cap (3).- Fully insert the fuel pump nozzle (4) in the tankbefore refuelling (see figure).- After refuelling, replace the cap (3) turning it theopposite way from when it was removed.1A2EN - 12SPECIFICATIONS - OPERATION - MAINTENANCE
