EnglishWater Pressure Systems mounted to DC motor 12/24 VTypical applicationsThe WPS pump is a five chamber positivedisplacement diaphragm pump.This pump is the ideal choice for pressurizingwater in a closed system suchas that found in a boat or in a recreationalvehicle.It can easily build the pressure requiredfor a pressurized water supply system.Features• Quiet operation• Smooth flowing• Self priming• Integrated pressure switch turnspump on and off automatically whentap is opened and closed• Built-in by-pass valve which reducesthe need for storage tank (only WPS3.5)• Dry running without damage• Low power consumption• Quick disconnect fittingsWorking principleAs the pump runs, pressure is increaseduntil it reaches the pre-defined pressurelevel, see p. 37. When the pre-definedpressure level is reached the integratedpressure switch automatically shuts thepump off.The pump is equipped with positivelychecking outlet valves which ensurethat the pressure is maintained after thepump shuts off.When water is demanded (at the faucet,shower et.c.) the pressure decreases.After a moderate drop in pressure, theintegrated pressure switch automaticallyturns the pump back on.Due to it’s durable construction andthoughtful design, the pump will providemany years of service.Important! The pressure setting of thispump is made at the factory. If rigid pipe is used, alength (225 mm/9 inches minimum) offlexible tubing shall be installed betweenthe pump and the rigid pipe. This willaddress noise and/or damage causedby vibration transmitted to rigid pipe.Use stainless steel hose clamps to securetubing to quick disconnect fittingsand other hose barbs in the system.A strainer must be installed in line beforethe pump intake, to prevent debrisfrom entering pump and interfering withproper functioning of valves.Electrical installationThe pump must be installed accordingto SS-EN ISO 10133 (Small craft –Electrical system – Extra low voltageDC installation for continuous current).Note: The fuse must be ignition protected.The motor is equipped with built inthermal protection to prevent the motorfrom overheating. The protection is automaticallyrestored when the motoris cooled.If the pump is connected with separateearth lead, this should be yellow/greenand connected to the motor base.See the wiring table for correct installation.Negative wire must be black.Choose wire size in accordance withtotal wire lenght.Original instructions9
