Six savants, membres du Club des Astronomes, entreprennent une expédition qui doit les conduire sur
la lune. Ils partent dans un obus, tiré par un canon géant. Arrivés sur la lune, ils découvrent le clair de
terre et rencontrent les Sélénites. Ils échappent à leur roi et retournent sur terre. Tombés dans la mer,
puis repêchés par un navire, les six héros de cette aventure seront accueillis triomphalement.
Six scientists, members of the Society of Astronomers, embark on an expedition to the Moon. They travel
in a bullet-shaped shell, shot from a gigantic cannon. After reaching the Moon, they see the Earth rising
in the sky and meet the Selenites. They escape from the king of the Selenites and return to Earth.
They splash down in the sea and are hauled out by a ship. Finally, the six heroes of this adventure return
home to a triumphant welcome.

Une copie noir et blanc nitrate originale appartenant à Madeleine Malthête-Méliès et un contretype nitrate
appartenant au CNC ont été utilisés pour cette restauration. La numérisation de ces deux éléments a été réalisée au
CNC-AFF. Certains fragments avaient été auparavant sauvegardés sur pellicule internégative par Haghefilm. La
restauration numérique a été réalisée en 2011 par Technicolor à Los Angeles.
A black and white original nitrate print belonging to Madeleine Malthête-Méliès and a positive print belonging
to CNC have been used for this restoration. The digitization of those elements was made at CNC-AFF. Some
fragments had been previously safeguarded on an internegative print at Haghefilm. 2011 digital restoration
was made by Technicolor in Los Angeles.
