CROSS-CURRENT EQUIPMENT HANDBOOK1-INSTALLATIONBy choosing the up stream swimming equipment modelCross-current equipment, manufactured by Fiberpool, wethink you have made the best choice, and we hope that youand yours enjoy your swimming pool to the full.The cross-current equipment series comes with variousmotor sizes, ranging from 2,5 HP to 5,5 HP, which meansthe installation can easily be adapted to any type ofswimming pool.The electropump should be fitted as close as possible tothe pool so as to maximize its performance by avoidingfrictional losses. The original diameters of PVC fittingssupplied with the unit should always be observed. Werecommend that you do not install the electropump morethan 15m. from the pool.The BC series pump included with the unit is not selfprimingso must be installed below the water level. Theprefabricated housing or hut for the unit must be wellventilated , using fans if necessary , so as to ensure propercooling of the pump and to avoid condensation. This willensure the correct operation of the cross-currentequipment.2-FIXING THE NICHEWhen installing the niche you should take into account thefact that it must be fitted in the position described below:The Ø75mm. Discharge mouth and the Ø90mm. Suctionmouth must be fitted vertically, such that the discharge side(Ø75mm.) is uppermost and the inlet side (Ø90mm.) facesdownwards (see Fig. 1). You should also ensure that thedistance between the surface of the water and the centre ofthe discharge mouth is approximately 30 cm.
