Du point de vue de la migration des solutés (espèces ioniques chargées, non chargées, complexe ...), la matrice argileuse constitue donc le principal domaine poreux où les solutés pourront se déplacer dans la phase fluide. Les prochaines étapes de ce travail consisteront à déterminer l’influence des teneurs en fraction non poreuse sur la migration des solutés. Celle- ci devra être mise en relation avec son anisotropie d’orientation et de forme quantifiée dans le chapitre précédent. Lors de la migration d’espèces ioniques réactives, les surfaces des minéraux jouent un rôle crucial dans la compréhension de la migration des solutés à travers l’argilite. Il conviendra ainsi de déterminer s’il existe des réactions de sorption aux surfaces des quartz et surtout des carbonates en plus de celles aux surfaces des minéraux argileux. Pour les zones constituées de pyrite qui peuvent être fortement ou faiblement poreuses, une étude statistique de leur porosité en relation avec leur texture devra être envisagée afin de mieux appréhender leur rôle dans le transfert des solutés. Les échantillons n’ayant pas été conservés en atmosphère anoxique, il est également possible qu’il y ait un phénomène de déstabilisation de la pyrite qui pourrait augmenter sa porosité.
