I.6.6
SETTING THE DEFLECTOR
In order to obtain optimal air distribution, regulate the position of the
motor-driven deflector and the vertical fins, making sure that the air flow
is not directly pointed at persons.
The vertical fins must be manually oriented before starting the air
conditioning unit, while you should proceed as follows for the motordriven
deflector:
The deflector position can be modified by pressing
the AIR DIRECTION key several times.
Press the SWING key to activate continuous
deflector oscillation.
ATTENTION:
In order to transmit the timer settings automatically at the set time,
position the remote control near the internal unit. The TIMER function is
not repetitive and must be set every time it is used.
When the Timer ON-OFF is selected , there can be a small delay for the
start up of the unit with respect to the hour programmed in the timer.
This is to be considered completely normal operation of the unit.

KEYPAD LOCK
By pressing the LOCK key with a sharp
object, it is possible to completely inhibit the
remote control keypad, preventing
undesired use (by children etc.). The
display will show the symbol alongside. To
remove the lock, press the LOCK key again
with a sharp object.

RESETTING THE REMOTE CONTROL
By pressing the RESET key with a sharp object, it
is possible to take the remote control back to its
original factory settings.
I.7 DESCRIPTION OF INDICATORS
The indicators on the right-hand side of the unit are for indicating the
operational status of the machine.

DANGER!
Moving the motor-driven deflector manually when
the air conditioning unit is one could cause
operating problems or damage the regulation
system.
FAN SETTINGS
By pressing the FAN SPEED key several times, it is
possible to set the speed of the fan between the
three available, or activate the AUTO function.
The display shows the operating mode.
Indicators
Meaning
indicates that the unit is running, flashes after
temporary interruption of the power supply
indicates that the unit is running in ECONOMIC
RUNNING mode
indicates that the timer has been activated
AUTO: Completely automatic operation
LOW: minimum speed operation
MED: medium speed operation
HIGH: maximum speed operation
indicates that the unit is in defrost or Anti Cold Air
phase

SETTING THE TIMER
By pressing these keys, it is possible to programme
the start-up and/or the shutdown time of the unit.
The display shows the TIMER ON and/or TIMER
OFF indications, with part of the clock flashing.
indicates that the unit is running in AUTO mode
indicates the set temperature

Shutdown time
By pressing this key, it is possible to programme the
start-up or the shutdown time. With every press of
the key, the time moves forwards or backwards by
ten minutes.
When the desired start-up or shutdown time is
reached, the setting must be confirmed by pressing
the OK key.
The CANCEL key makes it possible to deactivate
the TIMER ON and/or TIMER OFF functions.
Once the start-up and shutdown times have
been set, the display shows the current time
and the messages TIMER ON and/or TIMER
OFF with the relative times.
I.8 PERIODS OUT OF USE
DANGER!
Always turn off the automatic main switch (IG) for
the protection of the entire system. Make sure that
no one accidentally supplies power to the machine
– lock the automatic main switch in the off position.
If the machine is going to be out of use for long periods of time, it is
necessary to disconnect the unit from the mains by opening the main
switch, fitted by the installer.
I.9 START-UP AFTER PROLONGED SHUTDOWN
Before starting up the unit again:
• Clean or change the air filter.
• Clean the heat-exchanger.
• Clean the condensation collector tray drain tube or make sure it is
clear.
It is advisable to run the unit at maximum speed for several hours.
