SETTING THE DEFLECTOR<br />
In order to obtain optimal air distribution, regulate the position of the<br />
motor-driven deflector and the vertical fins, making sure that the air flow<br />
is not directly pointed at persons.<br />
The vertical fins must be manually oriented before starting the air<br />
conditioning unit, while you should proceed as follows for the motordriven<br />
deflector:<br />
The deflector position can be modified by pressing<br />
the AIR DIRECTION key several times.<br />
Press the SWING key to activate continuous<br />
deflector oscillation.<br />
ATTENTION:<br />
In order to transmit the timer settings automatically at the set time,<br />
position the remote control near the internal unit. The TIMER function is<br />
not repetitive and must be set every time it is used.<br />
When the Timer ON-OFF is selected , there can be a small delay for the<br />
start up of the unit with respect to the hour programmed in the timer.<br />
This is to be considered completely normal operation of the unit.<br />

KEYPAD LOCK<br />
By pressing the LOCK key with a sharp<br />
object, it is possible to completely inhibit the<br />
remote control keypad, preventing<br />
undesired use (by children etc.). The<br />
display will show the symbol alongside. To<br />
remove the lock, press the LOCK key again<br />
with a sharp object.<br />

RESETTING THE REMOTE CONTROL<br />
By pressing the RESET key with a sharp object, it<br />
is possible to take the remote control back to its<br />
original factory settings.<br />
I.7 DESCRIPTION OF INDICATORS<br />
The indicators on the right-hand side of the unit are for indicating the<br />
operational status of the machine.<br />

DANGER!<br />
Moving the motor-driven deflector manually when<br />
the air conditioning unit is one could cause<br />
operating problems or damage the regulation<br />
system.<br />
FAN SETTINGS<br />
By pressing the FAN SPEED key several times, it is<br />
possible to set the speed of the fan between the<br />
three available, or activate the AUTO function.<br />
The display shows the operating mode.<br />
Indicators<br />
Meaning<br />
indicates that the unit is running, flashes after<br />
temporary interruption of the power supply<br />
indicates that the unit is running in ECONOMIC<br />
RUNNING mode<br />
indicates that the timer has been activated<br />
AUTO: Completely automatic operation<br />
LOW: minimum speed operation<br />
MED: medium speed operation<br />
HIGH: maximum speed operation<br />
indicates that the unit is in defrost or Anti Cold Air<br />
phase<br />

SETTING THE TIMER<br />
By pressing these keys, it is possible to programme<br />
the start-up and/or the shutdown time of the unit.<br />
The display shows the TIMER ON and/or TIMER<br />
OFF indications, with part of the clock flashing.<br />
indicates that the unit is running in AUTO mode<br />
indicates the set temperature<br />

Shutdown time<br />
By pressing this key, it is possible to programme the<br />
start-up or the shutdown time. With every press of<br />
the key, the time moves forwards or backwards by<br />
ten minutes.<br />
When the desired start-up or shutdown time is<br />
reached, the setting must be confirmed by pressing<br />
the OK key.<br />
The CANCEL key makes it possible to deactivate<br />
the TIMER ON and/or TIMER OFF functions.<br />
Once the start-up and shutdown times have<br />
been set, the display shows the current time<br />
and the messages TIMER ON and/or TIMER<br />
OFF with the relative times.<br />
I.8 PERIODS OUT OF USE<br />
DANGER!<br />
Always turn off the automatic main switch (IG) for<br />
the protection of the entire system. Make sure that<br />
no one accidentally supplies power to the machine<br />
– lock the automatic main switch in the off position.<br />
If the machine is going to be out of use for long periods of time, it is<br />
necessary to disconnect the unit from the mains by opening the main<br />
switch, fitted by the installer.<br />
I.9 START-UP AFTER PROLONGED SHUTDOWN<br />
Before starting up the unit again:<br />
• Clean or change the air filter.<br />
• Clean the heat-exchanger.<br />
• Clean the condensation collector tray drain tube or make sure it is<br />
clear.<br />
It is advisable to run the unit at maximum speed for several hours.<br />
