I.6.1
SETTING THE CLOCK
When the batteries are inserted in the remote control, the clock
indicator flashes and displays 0:00.
NOTE: do not point the remote control towards the air conditioning unit
when setting the clock.
We recommend regulating the clock on the remote control before
starting up the air conditioning unit. Proceed as follows in order to
regulate it (ref. Fig. 1):

In order to regulate the clock again or programme again, proceed as
follows (ref. Fig. 1):
press the CLOCK key for more than
three seconds
With the selection of the automatic programme AUTO, the air
conditioning unit can operating in COOLING mode, VENTILATION
mode and in HEATING mode on the basis of the temperature difference
between the ambient temperature and the temperature selected on the
remote control.
The fan is in constant operation, whatever the difference between the
ambient temperature and the selected temperature.
When the cooling programme COOL is selected, the air conditioning
unit operates with free temperature settings, lowering the ambient
temperature.
When the drying programme DRY is selected, the air conditioning unit
operates at 4-6 minute intervals, with free temperature settings, thus
progressively lowering the temperature and humidity in the
environment. In the drying programme DRY, the FAN SPEED key
cannot be used.
When the unit is running in heating mode HEAT, the air conditioning
unit operates with free temperature settings, raising the ambient
temperature. With low temperature and high relative humidity external
air conditions, some frost may form on the external heat exchanger that
must be eliminated; the microprocessor board provides for this
operation on the basis of a defined cycle, blocking the heating phase for
periods varying from 6 to 10 minutes. This operation is signalled by the
PRE-DEF LED.
When the ventilation programme FAN is selected, the air conditioning
unit operates without temperature settings, ventilating the ambient air.

I.6.4.1
ECONOMIC RUNNING FUNCTION
By pressing this key in the AUTO, COOL and HEAT
modes when the unit is running, the air conditioning
unit varies the set temperature over the following
two hours, in COOL mode +2°C, in HEAT mode –
2°C, and then maintains it throughout the operating
time, obtaining greater comfort and energy saving.
EMERGENCY FUNCTION

SWITCHING THE UNIT ON AND OFF
The unit may be switched on or off by pressing the
ON/OFF key.
In going from ON to OFF, any operating mode is interrupted, timer
delays in progress are cancelled, and the operating mode of the
appliance and the fan, the position of the deflector and the preset
temperature are memorised.
In going from OFF to ON, the machine automatically restores the
operating modes memorised before shutdown.
When the unit is on, the unit on indication appears on
the display.
The presence of this symbol on the display indicates
that the remote control is communicating with the unit.
Every time the external unit compressor stops, at least 3 seconds must
pass before it is started up again. This period of time is necessary to
safeguard the compressor and may not be modified.
I.6.3
SETTING THE OPERATING MODE
By pressing the Mode key several times, it is possible to
change the operating mode of the unit. The operating
mode selected appears on the display.
AUTO: Completely automatic operation
COOL: cooling mode
DRY: drying mode
HEAT: heating mode
FAN: Ventilation only mode
The emergency function can be used when the remote control is not
available or the batteries are flat. By pressing the emergency operation
button, located on the internal unit, the air conditioning unit can run as
usual.
If the emergency operating button is pressed once, the unit runs in
AUTO mode.
If it is pressed a second time, the unit will run in cooling mode on the
basis of this programme:
• set temperature 24°C
• AUTOMATIC fan speed
By pressing the emergency button a third time, the air conditioning unit
will come to a stop.

SETTING THE DESIRED TEMPERATURE
By pressing these keys in the AUTO, COOL, DRY
and HEAT mode, it is possible to increase or reduce
the desired temperature value from 17°C to 30°C.
The display shows the value of the temperature
selected.
