I.1 GENERAL INFORMATION
This user manual comes as standard with this air conditioning unit.
Safe use and maintenance of this machine, which is the purpose of this
User Instructions Manual, are indispensable to avoid risks to the
operators, both during operation as well as during repair and
maintenance work. Therefore it is indispensable for this document to be
carefully read, adhered to in its entirety and conserved with care.
IMPORTANT!
RHOSS S.p.a. declines all responsibility for any
damage deriving from improper use of the air
conditioning unit or caused following failure to read
the information and instructions provided in this
manual in full.

STANDARD USE CONDITIONS
DANGER!
Uses other than that for which the machine has
been designed by the manufacturer are expressly
prohibited.
The split wall-mounted air conditioning unit is intended for the treatment
of air (summer and winter air conditioning) inside buildings used for
domestic or similar purposes. The unit is designed for installation in
rooms with a NON EXPLOSIVE atmosphere.
Do not use the air conditioning unit for specialist uses such as cooling
electrical or electronic equipment, preserving food, antique furniture,
animal farms, organic agriculture, furs, etc…
This air conditioning unit is fitted with high speed fans. Never insert your
hands or objects of any kind inside the air output slots in either the
internal unit or the external unit: this could cause serious accidents
involving personal injury and damage to the fan.
Always keep the environment at a comfortable temperature, especially
in the presence of children, the elderly or the disabled.
Use of the air conditioning unit at temperatures and levels of humidity
other than those permitted may cause malfunctions and condensation
drips inside the internal unit.
We recommend disconnecting the unit from the power supply during
storms using a mains switch (not included), in order to protect the air
conditioning unit from damage due to over voltage caused by lightning
strikes.

instructions for use are scrupulously followed, if
the specified clearances are complied with during
installation and if the operating restrictions
indicated in this manual are strictly adhered to.

SAFETY INFORMATION
The unit is fitted with safety devices in order to prevent the risk of
personal injury and guarantee correct operation.
Tampering or alterations not authorized by RHOSS S.p.a. may pose
a potential risk to persons and damage to the unit.
I.2 SPARE PARTS
IMPORTANT!
Use only original spare parts and accessories.
RHOSS S.p.a. shall not be held liable for damage
caused by tampering or work carried out by
unauthorised personnel or malfunctions caused by
the use of non-original spare parts or accessories.
Only use original RHOSS S.p.A. spare parts during maintenance.
RHOSS S.p.A. will not be held responsible in the following cases:
• incorrect installation;
• partial or total failure to observe the instructions;
• electrical/hydraulic supply problems;
• incorrect use of the unit;
• lack of maintenance;
• unauthorized modifications and operations;
• use of non original or unsuitable spare parts.
I.3 ASSISTANCE
Before carrying out repair work on the unit, we recommend contacting
RHOSS S.p.A.,, especially in the event that extraordinary maintenance
operations are necessary.
I.4 DESCRIPTION OF THE UNIT
Autonomous air conditioning units with separate sections in the heat
pump version consist of internal units (No. 1 for the MONO model, No.
2 for the DUAL model, No. 3 for the TRIAL model) for wall-mounted
installation and an external unit to be connected via refrigerant and
electric lines.
The internal unit has a protective gas charge in order to prevent the
entry of damp. The external unit contains the entire refrigerant charge,
which is also sufficient for the refrigerant line up to a maximum length of
5 m.
In the event of a longer line, you will need to top up the refrigerant gas.
The units are characterized by very silent running and high
performances in terms of efficiency and reliability.
The operation of the units is controlled by an electronic microprocessor
board which makes it possible to choose from the following
programmes:
• automatic AUTO
• cooling COOL
• drying DRY
• heating HEAT
• ventilation FAN
All the operating programme options can be selected using an infrared
remote control with liquid crystal display.
When the remote control is not available, the air conditioning unit can
be controlled by a switch on the internal unit in emergencies.
