The IMF offers internship to about 30-50 graduate stu<strong>de</strong>nts each summer to carry out<br />
a research project un<strong>de</strong>r the supervision of an experienced economist. Interns prepare<br />
a paper outlining the results of their research (which they may be asked to present to<br />
the staff of their <strong>de</strong>partment at the end of the assignment). Papers of high standard<br />
may be published internally.<br />
