H. Tour Réfous
L’élément le plus ancien du château est la tour principale, aujourd’hui isolée, dite tour Réfous. Alors
que la tour elle-même a été construite vers le milieu du 13 e siècle, le toit conique qui surplombe les
créneaux date du 18 e siècle.
Dieser Rundturm ist das älteste Element der Schlossanlage. Der heute freistehende Hauptturm wurde
in der Mitte des 13. Jahrhunderts erbaut, das Kegeldach über dem Zinnenkranz wurde im 18. Jahrhundert
errichtet. Von oben sehr schöne Aussicht.
The round tower is the oldest building on the castle grounds. This main tower, nowadays free-standing,
was built shortly after 1271; the peaked roof above the crenellated molding was added in the
eighteenth century. Visitors are treated to a magnificent view from the top of the tower.
15. Hôtel International (Inter)
Belle construction de style art nouveau (début du 20 e siècle).
Schöner Bau im Art-Nouveau-Stil (anfangs 20. Jahrhundert).
This beautiful building in the Art Nouveau style was built at the beginning of the twentieth century.
16. Auguste Cuenin 2 / Villa Pfister
Grande résidence construite au milieu d’un vaste parc compris entre l’Allaine et la rue Auguste-Cuenin.
Architecture composite typique de la fin du 19 e siècle. Façades polychromes en briques, crépi et
colombages. Restauration en 1990-1991.
Grosses Wohngebäude inmitten eines Parks zwischen dem Allaine-Fluss und der Rue Auguste-Cuenin.
Typische Mischarchitektur vom Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts. Polychrome Fassaden, mit Backstein,
Verputz und Fachwerk. 1990-1991 restauriert.
This large residential structure in the middle of a park between the Allaine River and the Rue Auguste-
Cuenin is an example of combined architectural styles popular at the end of the nineteenth century.
It has polychrome fronts with bricks, plastering and exposed beams. It was restored in 1990 – 1991.
