Suite à la programmation de la vidéo L’Inopiné l’an dernier dans IDEAL,
la Saison Vidéo propose de découvrir le dernier projet de Jessika
Laranjo, artiste membre de la Plate-Forme à Dunkerque.
L’Inopiné mettait en scène un homme précieusement vêtu et inadapté
à son environnement direct, protagoniste superficiel d’un monde égocentrique.
HyperSuperLand aurait pu être sa patrie d’adoption, un
pays qui se voile la face et dont le superlatif ne trouve d’égal que dans
l’étendue de sa médiocrité. Mais halte au consensus, réveillons la
conscience collective et l’esprit critique ! Pour cela, à la manière du
chroniqueur omniscient dont l’espèce envahit les médias, Jessika
Laranjo s’est inventée un alter ego lunatique qui exprime ses opinions
sous forme de monologues autofilmés.
Les thèmes les plus divers sont abordés : “Vous êtes immigré et vous
devez vous intégrer”, “Vous visitez une exposition et vous ne comprenez
rien”… Dérangeants, ironiques, médiocres et contradictoires, les
avis se veulent faire l’effet du poil à gratter pour les habitants de
l’HyperSuperLand. Le visiteur, à qui Jessika s’adresse directement, se
trouve intégré à ce monde et peut en devenir un acteur par l’enregistrement
d’un monologue.

Following the programming of the video L’Inopiné last year in IDEAL,
the Saison Vidéo presents the latest project by Jessika Laranjo, artist
member of the Plate-Forme in Dunkerque. L’Inopiné showed a man
preciously dressed and inadapted to his immediate environment, a
superficial protagonist in an egocentric world. HyperSuperLand
could have been his adopted homeland, a country which doesn't face
reality and whose superlatives are only equalled in the extent of its
mediocrity. But stop the consensus, wake up the collective
conscience and the critical mind! For this, and like an all-knowing
editor (omniscient), the species of which invades the media, Jessika
Laranjo has invented a lunatic alter ego for herself who expresses her
opinions in the form of auto-filmed monologues. Various themes are
touched on: "You are an immigrant and you must integrate", "You are
visiting an exhibition and you don't understand anything"…
Disturbing, ironic, mediocre and contradictory, the opinions are supposed
to act like itching powder for in the inhabitants of
HyperSuperLand. The visitor, whom Jessica addresses directly, finds
him/herself integrated into this world and may become an actor in it
with the recording of a monologue.
