Quelque part dans Hong Kong, un calligraphe vit le contraste entre<br />
la tradition et la modernité. En le voyant chez lui ou lorsqu’il se<br />
déplace dans l’espace urbain, on se pose les questions d’identité sur<br />
son univers personnel et sur sa façon de réagir par rapport à l’infrastructure<br />
de la ville. Son corps se meut dans une démarche tactile,<br />
il interprète son écriture comme une chorégraphie. Y<br />

the tradition and modernity. While seeing him at home or when he<br />
displaces in the urban space, one asks the questions of identity on<br />
his personal universe and on his way to react in relation to the infrastructure<br />

Le film se focalise sur les exercices matinaux quotidiens d’individus et<br />
de groupes de personnes dans les parcs publics de Shanghai. Surtout<br />
populaires parmi les gens âgés, ces exercices comprennent pratique du<br />
tai chi, percussion, chant, danse, mouvements corporels, escrime et<br />
autres arts martiaux courants. Se déroulant simultanément dans différents<br />
parcs, les mouvements de ces exercices offrent de fascinants rythmes<br />
visuels qui animent chaque matin ces espaces publics. EF<br />
This film focuses on the morning exercise routines of various individuals<br />
and large groups of people in Shanghai’s public parks. Especially<br />
popular amongst the elderly, these exercises included tai chi, drumming,<br />
singing, dancing, slapping of the body, sword fencing and other martial<br />
arts routines. Taking place simultaneously within the parks, these exercise<br />
movements offer fascinating visual rhythms that animate these public<br />
