SUMMARY<br />
Fractures of the talus are a rare injury.<br />
In this work, we reported 16 cases of fracture process of the talus treated at<br />
the <strong>de</strong>partment of orthopedic and traumatic surgery Hassan II Fez and Ibn ROCH<br />
casa, on a period of 5 years between 2005 and the year 2009<br />
These <strong>fractures</strong> were observed mainly in young adults with an average age of<br />
32 years (15-55 years). 81% of patients were men. The fracture was mostly settled<br />
on the right (62.5%).<br />
The causes were dominated by acci<strong>de</strong>nts from the public (50%). These were<br />
often closed <strong>fractures</strong> (68%). Associated injury were dominated by the other foot<br />
<strong>fractures</strong> 50%. There was a predominance of transversal <strong>fractures</strong> (50%).<br />
In the series studied, 18.75% of patients have benefited from orthopedic<br />
treatment and 81.25 % of surgical treatment.<br />
The results were analysed with an average of 8 months (3-20) and evaluated<br />
with the critters of the GAY et EVRARD.<br />
