6. Commissioning/operating control
6.1 General
Flush system thoroughly without pump. See section 4.
Fill and de-aerate the system properly.
Only put the pump into operation when the system is full.
Switch on the supply voltage.
6.2 Venting
The pump is vented automatically after a brief period of operation.
A short period of dry running (max. 2 mins.) does not harm
the pump. The pump is vented when it runs quietly.
The pump also has an additional «venting» mode of operation:
– The pump changes to the «venting» («- -») mode of operation
after holding down the control button (for at least 5 secs.)
The pump can then be switched on/off by pressing the button
briefly.
The percentage symbol («%») flashes when the pump is running.
– Additional venting by opening the hot water tapping points
several times.
– The pump is returned to the normal mode of operation
by keeping the control button pressed again (or automatically
after 5 mins.)
Warning
The pump must not be operated without water!
6.3 Operating check
% lights = normal operation, pump does not run
% flashes = normal operation, pump running
The figure indicates the proportion of pump running time
to the total operating time.
6.4 Deblocking
Owing to the very high torque of the permanent magnet motor,
it is unnecessary to deblock the pump. The electronic system
also has an automatic deblocking program.
