Iranian delegation, Mohammad Jafar Shahraroodi, was wounded during the
incident and has returned to Iran for treatment
Amnesty International opposes unreservedly the extrajudicial kill'Îng
of any individual by a government. It has been concerned in recent years
by the killings of a number of Iranian exiles which have been attributed
to Iranian Government agents.
Amnesty International has urged the Iranian Government to condemn
pUblicly the political murder in Vienna, and to make clear to all its
officials and representatives in Iran and abroad that it will not tolerate
such killings.
