The delegation headed by David Welch of
the State Department, a leading figure in the
Middle East Division, met with Onur Öymen, .
undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry on
Wednesday. Following the talks in northern
Iraq, the delegation is expected to hold further
.discussions in Ankara a few days later.
