(MGK) is continuing.<br />

Deputy Prime Minister and<br />

Forei~n Minister Tansu Çiller<br />

on Friday visited Chief of<br />

General Staff Gen. lsmail<br />

Hakkl KaradaYI and later<br />

plunged into talks with Prime<br />

Minister Necm<strong>et</strong>tin Erbakan,<br />

while Industry Minister Yahm<br />

Erez (DYP) issued an open<br />

challenge saying the DYP wanted<br />

implementation of the <strong>de</strong>cisions<br />

of the MGK.<br />

"The MGK <strong>de</strong>cisions will be<br />

implemented without any<br />

chanfl.e as long as the DYP<br />

rema\1\S a partner in this government,<br />

even at the risk of<br />

Motherland Party (ANAP) said the government<br />

would "go" because of the public<br />

wave of reaction against it. DSP<br />

lea<strong>de</strong>r Ecevit urged all parties, other than<br />

the RP, to come tog<strong>et</strong>her for a "solution<br />

government" before it was too late, that<br />

is before the country is faced with a<br />

s~rious "regime crisis." He told a press<br />

conference the senior partner of the<br />

coalition was <strong>de</strong>liberately escalating the<br />

tension, and an alternative to the present<br />

government should be found before<br />

<strong>de</strong>velopments turned into a serious<br />

regime crisis.<br />

Stressing that the junior partner of the<br />

coalition, the DYP, hel~ the key to the<br />

formation of an alternative government,<br />

Ecevit said: "If the DYP executives and<br />

<strong>de</strong>puties act with <strong>de</strong>termination, the door<br />

closed for the time being, can be opened.<br />
