As PC1 contained information of allometry, we <strong>de</strong>ci<strong>de</strong>d to perform the LDA on adult<br />

specimens and thus to document shape variation in connection with the geographic origin<br />

only.<br />

Plot of the LDA skull symmetric shape coordinates versus origins (figure 6) separated the<br />

four groups without any overlap. The topology of the plot (figure 6) suggested the existence<br />

of three skulls shape patterns distributed on three extremes plot positions: turtles from AO<br />
