Cet échantillon provient d’un crabe acclimaté à une oxygénation variable. Les distributions de pics correspondant à l’hexamère (450 000 kDa), au dodécamère (900 000 kda) et à des complexes de plus haute masse moléculaire (18- mère et 24-mère) sont visibles. Pour l’hexamère, les pics sont légèrement dédoublés à leur sommet, ce qui permet de calculer deux masses différentes.

Cet échantillon provient d’un crabe avant acclimatation. L’acclimatation ne modifie pas la présence de l’hexamère supplémentaire. En conditions dénaturantes, une sous-unités de 80962,2 Da est également observée ; l’hexamère observée ici est formé de 6 exemplaires de cette sous-unités. Il est tentant d’assimiler cette hexamère à l’hexamère de cryptocyanine observé chez certains crabes ; cependant il est à noter qu’une corrélation entre la présence de cette hexamère en ESI-MS et celle de la cryptocyanine en SEC-MALLS n’a pas encore été observée.
