Descaling<br />
In order not to impair the service life of the appliance and the<br />
quality of the coffee, the appliance must be descaled at regular<br />
intervals. The descaling interval depends on the water hardness<br />
(at least every 6 weeks).<br />

Fill the water tank with water to the 10 mark and add citric acid<br />
or vinegar essence (approximately 5 % acidic solution).<br />
NOTE<br />
►► If you use a commercially available descaling agent,<br />
observe the manufacturer's instructions for use.<br />
Press the "Brew" button (26).<br />
Allow the descaling solution to run through the machine.<br />
Empty the insulated flask (7).<br />
NOTE<br />
►► If the appliance is severely scaled, it may be necessary<br />
to repeat the descaling process.<br />
Allow two tank fills of clear water to run through the appliance<br />
for rinsing.<br />
Wash all removable parts with warm water and washing-up<br />
liquid before brewing coffee again.<br />
