Cleaning and maintenance<br />
Changing the activated carbon filter<br />
Change the activated carbon filter after brewing 70 times or when<br />
the ☺ symbol starts flashing in the display. Please proceed as<br />
follows:<br />

Press the "Filter" button (29) to switch off the filter change<br />
reminder. The ☺ symbol on the display goes out.<br />
Take the filter holder (15) from the<br />
water tank (13) and open the filter<br />
container flap and remove the used<br />
activated carbon filter.<br />
Remove the activated carbon filter<br />
(16) from its plastic packaging and<br />
thoroughly rinse under running water<br />
in order to remove any potential<br />
production residues.<br />
Place the new filter in the filter container and close the filter<br />
container flap.<br />
Slide the filter holder (15) into the recess (arrow).<br />
Press the "Filter" button (29) to activate the filter change<br />
reminder again.<br />
NOTE<br />

The filter change reminder is active only when ☺ symbol<br />
in the display is not flashing.<br />
