Operation<br />
Placing the filter<br />

Press the unlocking button (5) to open the filter<br />
compartment (10).<br />
Place the filter insert (11) into the filter compartment (10).<br />
Place the permanent gold filter (8) into the filter insert (11).<br />
Close the filter compartment (10).<br />
Specifying the number of cups<br />
Press and hold the "2-10" button (27) until the required<br />
number of cups is displayed.<br />
NOTE<br />
►► The following settings are possible:<br />
2, 4, 6, 8, or 10 cups.<br />
►► The number of cups set will be stored until either a new<br />
number of cups is entered or the plug is removed from<br />
the socket for more than a minute.<br />
Setting the coffee strength<br />
Press and hold the button (25) until the display shows the<br />
desired strength.<br />
NOTE<br />
►► The following settings are possible:<br />
light, medium and strong.<br />
►► The set coffee strength will be stored until either a new<br />
coffee is entered or the plug is removed from the socket<br />
for more than a minute.<br />
