8.4 Encoder, conical shaft, flange type B (refer to data sheet 58x4SIL)<br />

The fastening screw of the conical shaft must be tightened with a torque of 3Nm. The stator coupling<br />

is fastened with four M3 screws tightened with a torque of 1 Nm and secured against loosening. The<br />

user or the installation company that mounts the encoder must make sure that the fastening method<br />

complies with the safety requirements in force.<br />

Max. permissible tolerances of the shaft connection:<br />

If they are dirty,<br />

- Axial offset: 0.50 mm (+/-0.25 mm) the encoder and drive shafts must<br />

- Radial offset: +/- 0,20 mm be cleaned and degreased.<br />

- Angular misalignment symmetry: 1°<br />

The fixing screw of the clamping ring must be tightened with a recommended torque of 2.5 Nm. The<br />

torque pin must be screwed onto an M4 threaded 8.5834SIL.BKXA.XXXX<br />

pin, and tightened with a recommended torque of<br />

3 Nm. The screw connection must be secured against loosening.<br />

The torque pin must be mounted to comply with the Machinery Directive guidelines in force, whereby<br />

the operator, operating company or installation company, which is installing the encoder, must ensure<br />

that the fastening screw thread complies with the safety requirements in force.<br />
