Operation is prohibited until the conformity of the final product with Directive 94/9/EC is declared. Any<br />
repair work at the ignition puncture-proof joint surfaces may only be carried out in compliance with<br />
the relevant design specifications of the manufacturer. Repair work according to the values of Table 2<br />
of standard EN 60079-1:2004 is not authorized.<br />
If the encoder is used for operation in another temperature range than the range indicated in the EC<br />
type examination certificate, an electrical/thermal test and a heating check must be performed at<br />
selected critical locations. The manufacturer is to be informed about this.<br />
– The cable gland is screwed on the cover with the M16 x 1.5 thread.<br />
– The cover is fastened on the flange with 4 cylindrical head screws M4 x 0.7, strength class 8.8.<br />
– The encoder may not be mounted/operated in case of visible damages. It may be repaired only by<br />
the <strong>Fritz</strong> Kübler <strong>GmbH</strong> Company.<br />
7.1 Ex classification<br />
The Kübler Ex encoders are classified according to II 2G Ex d II C T6<br />
(in compliance with EN 60079-0: 2006 and EN 60079-1: 2007)<br />

Special conditions:<br />
1. Environment temperature:<br />
The 7014SIL encoder may be used in category 2G and 2D at an environment temperature of<br />
-40ºC to +60ºC.<br />
2. Temperature class:<br />
The 7014SIL encoder is approved for category 2G (Ex atmosphere Gas) for the temperature class T6.<br />
3. Surface temperature:<br />
The 7014SIL encoder is approved for category 2D (Ex atmosphere Dust) up to a surface temperature<br />
of 85ºC. The user of the plant is to make sure that a possible dust deposit does not exceed a<br />
maximum thickness of 5 mm according to EN 61241-14:2005.<br />
