1. Safety instructions
Caution! Danger of suffocation when entering the plant.
The personnel for assembly, operation, maintenance and repair must possess the appropriate qualification
for this type of work.
The area of responsibility, the authority and the supervision of personnel must be exactly regulated
by the operator.
The operational security of the plant supplied is only guaranteed when it is used in accordance with
the regulations. The limits of the technical specifications may not be exceeded on any account.
This plant contains electric charges and controls mechanical plant components. Non-compliance
with the operating instructions may result in considerable damage to property, personal injuries or
fatal accidents.
During assembly, operation, maintenance and repair of the plant, the regulations for the prevention
of accidents, the pertinent DIN and VDE standards and directives must be heeded.
These are among others:
• "Regulations for the prevention of accidents - construction work" BGV C22, previously VBG 37
• "Excavations and trenches - slopes, planking and strutting, breadths of working spaces“ DIN 4124
• "Construction and testing of drains and sewers" DIN EN 1610
• "Directives for working in tanks and narrow spaces" BGR 117, previously ZH1/77
The cover on the small sewage treatment plant must be sufficiently secured against unauthorised
opening (in particular by children) also during work breaks.
Warning !
The plant consists of several components. Please therefore also heed the individual chapters in the
operating instructions. During assembly, maintenance, service and repair work on one of the components,
the plant as a whole must always be put out of operation by unplugging the mains plug on the
control unit and securing it against unintentional restart. Ensure that the inflow of sewage is interrupted
during assembly.
The control unit is live and may not be opened.
Only qualified electricians may carry out work on electrical facilities.
The term qualified electrician is defined in VDE 0105.
Work on the compressor exceeding the scope of the activities described in the chapter "Service and
Maintenance" is not permissible.
It must be ensured that the electric cables as well as all other electrical plant components are in
faultless condition. In case of damage, the plant may on no account be put into operation.
Caution !
Conversions or changes to the plant may only be carried out in agreement with the manufacturer.
For safety reasons, use original spare parts and accessories approved by the manufacturer. The use
of other parts may void the liability for any consequences arising thereof.
