New <strong>for</strong>mula <strong>for</strong> the newsletter<br />
To improve the process of distributing<br />
in<strong>for</strong>mation, PACS decided to slightly<br />
change the newsletter <strong>for</strong>mula. Since the<br />
<strong>2012</strong> edition the newsletter covers in<strong>for</strong>mation<br />
from the last calendar year. This<br />
means that, exceptionally, in some parts<br />
of the current issue, the newsletter repeats<br />
the in<strong>for</strong>mation published in the previous<br />
one. In those cases only basic in<strong>for</strong>mation<br />
is provided.<br />
Towards Critical Multiculturalism /<br />
Vers un multiculturalisme critique<br />
The publication Towards Critical Multiculturalism:<br />
Dialogues Between / Among Canadian<br />
Diasporas/ Vers un multiculturalisme<br />
critique : dialogues entre les diasporas edited<br />
by Ewelina Bujnowska, Marcin Gabryś,<br />
Tomasz Sikora addresses the issue of<br />
multiculturalism from a variety of critical<br />
and transdiasporic perspectives. In<br />
Canada multiculturalism situates itself in<br />
the center of public debate and is one of<br />
Canadian government’s priorities, but the<br />
issue is increasingly relevant across countries<br />
and continents. The book comprises<br />
28 interdisciplinary articles divided into<br />
several sections.<br />
Over the past two decades or so the<br />
idea of “multiculturalism” has become a<br />
central, if by now somewhat worn-out,<br />
term in Canada <strong>for</strong> self‐definition. It has<br />
penetrated deep into many areas of Canadian<br />
life, including political and legal<br />
philosophy, governmental policies, institutional<br />
operations, cultural and literary<br />
representation, academic research, all the<br />
way down to the life arrangements of individual<br />
citizens and the way they relate<br />
to other individuals, groups and commu-<br />

nities. […] It is often the case, however,<br />
that a concept’s moment of glory hosts<br />
the germs of that very concept’s undoing<br />
(or at least. its fundamental redoing). […]<br />
When by the late 1980s/early 1990s the<br />
idea of multiculturalism (based firmly<br />
on identity politics) seemed to finally triumph<br />
after a long and winding path to<br />
practical implementation, opposing visions<br />
were quickly gaining ground. The<br />
1990s brought an exponentially growing<br />
number of critiques of “liberal multiculturalism”<br />
and by the end of the decade<br />
the term “critical multiculturalism” entered<br />
academic vocabulary. […] Multiculturalism<br />
came under attack from radical<br />
left positions <strong>for</strong> abandoning its earlier<br />
agenda of social and economic equity and<br />
its subsequent complicity with the neoliberal<br />
project. More on the conservative<br />
side of the debate, multicultural politics<br />
was accused of promoting identitarian<br />
separatism and the dictate of “political<br />
correctness.” […] Undoubtedly, there are<br />
many problems and challenges that the<br />
politics of multiculturalism has not successfully<br />
dealt with, such as the failures<br />
to integrate “visible minorities.” None the<br />
less, the editors of this volume believe<br />
that multiculturalism has helped Canada<br />
to avoid unrest and violent cultural conflict,<br />
experienced recently by many European<br />
countries. And the surveys still<br />
demonstrate, despite theorists’ critiques,<br />
that a majority of Canadians are reluctant<br />
to give up the label of multiculturalism.<br />
If critical multiculturalism is taken to<br />
stand <strong>for</strong> the critical imperative to challenge<br />
hegemonies and acknowledge difference<br />
without fixing it or containing its<br />
trans<strong>for</strong>mative potential; if, furthermore,<br />
it remains dedicated to issues of social and<br />
economic justice, then the editors of this<br />
book consider it a still viable and even<br />
necessary project.<br />

The annual 2011 Association <strong>for</strong> Canada<br />
Studies in the Netherlands conference<br />
took place in Groningen, Netherlands,<br />
10-13 November. The conference was<br />
hosted by Cornelius Remie, President<br />
Association <strong>for</strong> Canada Studies in the<br />
Netherlands. A number of students from<br />
Europe (Russia, Poland, Germany or<br />
Great Britain) as well as from other countries<br />
around the world (Canada, Brazil,<br />
Australia) were invited to present their<br />
research on various topics: politics, literature,<br />
Indigenous peoples, history and<br />
sociology. Each session was devoted to<br />
one area of <strong>studies</strong> and included students’<br />
presentations followed by a discussion.<br />
Evening entertainment was provided by<br />
students from Rijksuniversiteit Groningen<br />
who enabled the participants to learn<br />
about Dutch cuisine and prepared a traditional<br />
Dutch dinner. All the participants<br />
were given a chance of publishing their<br />
research in the immediate future.<br />
I was pleased to present my research on<br />
Canadian literature entitled “Lola Lemire<br />
Tostevin’s Concepts of ‘Femspeak’ and<br />
‘Menspeak’ and Linguistically-determined<br />
Silence.”<br />
The conference was a memorable experience<br />
and it was an honour to meet the<br />
ambassador of Canada to the Netherlands,<br />
James Lambert as well as Canadianists<br />
from around the world, including<br />
the President of Association <strong>for</strong> Canada<br />
Studies in the Netherlands, Jeanette den<br />
Toonder (Director, Centre <strong>for</strong> Canadian<br />
Studies, University of Groningen), Conny<br />
Steenman-Marcusse and the M.A. and<br />
PhD students.<br />

GRAINAU CONFERENCE GRANTS<br />
Each year PACS offers one grant to those<br />
wishing to participate in the conference<br />
held annually (in February) by the Canadian<br />
Studies Association of German-<br />
Speaking Countries (GKS) in Grainau,<br />
Germany. The successful applicant’s re-<br />

search interests should be related to the<br />
central topic of the conference. Preference<br />
is given to those who have not attended<br />
previous GKS conferences. The grant<br />
covers the cost of participation at the conference<br />
(registration fee, accommodation,<br />
all meals) excluding travel expenses.<br />

EU-CANADA STUDY TOUR AND<br />
INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME<br />
THINKING CANADA<br />
“Thinking Canada” is a new initiative<br />
of the European Network <strong>for</strong> Canadian<br />
Studies, funded generously by the European<br />
Commission – a three-and-a-half<br />
week study tour to Canada <strong>for</strong> European<br />
students and is followed <strong>for</strong> selected participants<br />
by two-month internships. It is<br />
preceded by a couple of days of briefings<br />
in Brussels on the EU and EU-Canada<br />
relations. The aim of the study tour is to<br />
offer its participants a unique in-depth<br />
experience of Canada through an intensive<br />
programme of visits to major private<br />
and public institutions, government<br />
bodies, think-tanks and NGOs. At each<br />
place, the students receive briefings and<br />
have the opportunity to exchange views<br />
with representatives of these bodies,<br />
many of them leading experts in their<br />
fields.<br />
In 2011 PACS offered Polish awardees<br />
grants to cover the participation fee and<br />
costs of travel from Poland to Brussels.<br />

In autumn 2011 I had a great honor to<br />
participate in the second edition of the<br />
EU-Canada Study Tour and Internship<br />
Programme ‘Thinking Canada 2011’.<br />
‘Thinking Canada’ is a new initiative<br />
of the European Network <strong>for</strong> Canadian<br />
Studies (ENCS), funded by the European<br />
Commission. The programme consists<br />
of a four-week study tour to Canada <strong>for</strong><br />
European students, previously selected<br />
by Canadian Studies <strong>association</strong>s in their<br />
countries, and two-month internships <strong>for</strong><br />
some of them. For instance in 2011 there<br />
were eight internships which were per<strong>for</strong>med<br />
in think tanks, in foundations, in<br />
cultural institutions, in government departments<br />
etc.<br />
The main objective of the programme<br />
is to offer its partakers a unique experience<br />
of Canada through interesting visits<br />
to major public and private institutions,<br />
government bodies (federal and provincial),<br />
think tanks and NGOs.<br />
In 2011 the tour’s programme was focused<br />
mainly on cultural diversity (i.e. English<br />
and French relationship, policy of multiculturalism,<br />
First Nations), some political<br />
issues (i.e. federalism, regionalism, Canada-EU<br />
relations), the environment (primarily<br />
Arctic problem), urban and economic<br />
issues (i.e. the Comprehensive Economic<br />
and Trade Agreement’s negotiations).<br />

The tour began on September 4 th 2011<br />
in Brussels where we spent a few days<br />
having appointments with famous EU<br />
politicians like Mrs Morag Donaldson<br />
(Overview of the European Parliament),<br />
Mr Ellis Mathews (The European External<br />
Action Service), Mr Philippe Rispal<br />
(Role, functions and monetary policy<br />
strategy of the European Central Bank),<br />
Mr Charles White (The EU’s Regional<br />
Policy) and Mr Christofer Fretwell (The<br />
European Court of Justice), along with<br />
some representatives of various NGOs,<br />
namely Mrs Patsy Sorensen, the founder<br />
of PAYOKE, an organization that combats<br />
the trading in and exploiting of<br />
human people (human trafficking). We<br />
visited also the Canadian Mission to the<br />
EU.<br />
After spending few days in Brussels the<br />
whole group flew to Ottawa, which was<br />
our first stop on a different continent.<br />
In Canada’s capital city we had a pleasure<br />
to see the EU Delegation to Canada<br />
and the Office of the Commissioner of<br />
Official Languages who tried to explain<br />
us what bilingualism really is. We extremely<br />
enjoyed a visit at the Nunavut<br />
Sivuniksavut College as young Inuit presented<br />
their life and history in a very interesting<br />
way, along with the Museum of<br />
Civilization and the Canadian War Museum.<br />
More <strong>for</strong>mal, though still absorbing,<br />
were meetings at the Department of<br />
Foreign Affairs and International Trade,<br />
Health Canada, Canadian Conference of<br />
the Arts, Assembly of First Nations or<br />
Canadian Labour Congress.<br />
From Ottawa we drove to Québec where<br />
we had an opportunity to listen to riveting<br />
presentations about Canada-Québec<br />
relationships and the North Plan at the<br />
Ministry of International Relations, as well<br />
as about the Québec policy at the National<br />
Assembly of Québec. We visited also Centre<br />
de la Francophonie des Amériques and<br />
Huron Museum in Wendake, charming<br />
small Indian village near Québec.<br />
Our next stop was Montréal, the most<br />
multicultural city in the province of<br />
Québec. In Montréal we spent some time<br />
at the Ministry of Immigration and Cultural<br />
Communities, Hydro Québec and<br />
one of the most famous think tanks in<br />
Canada, the Institute <strong>for</strong> Research on<br />
Public Policy. Our last afternoon we spent<br />
at PORTAGE, a Canadian non-profit organization<br />
which helps people suffering<br />
from substance abuse to overcome their<br />
addictions. The meeting with young and<br />
already addicted people who are fighting<br />
every day with such horrible problems fell<br />
deep in memory of all of us.<br />
From Montréal we travelled to Toronto.<br />
Multiple presentations of the members of<br />
the Government of Ontario, as well as of<br />
the City of Toronto, supported by a very<br />
interesting visit at Artscape Wychwood<br />
Barns, a NGO which makes space <strong>for</strong><br />
creativity and trans<strong>for</strong>ms small communities<br />
in Toronto, made our stay there un<strong>for</strong>gettable.<br />
We enjoyed also a nice reception<br />
at the Consulate General of the Republic<br />
of Poland where we had a chance to meet<br />
people from the European Union Chamber<br />
of Commerce in Toronto (EUCOCIT) and<br />
the European Union National Institutes of<br />
Culture (EUNIC).<br />
From Ontario we flew to the West Coast,<br />
Vancouver in British Columbia. We had<br />

a chance to listen to absorbing lectures<br />
at Asia Pacific Foundation, Pembina Institute,<br />
Ecojustice and INSITE – a safe,<br />
health-focused place where people inject<br />
drugs and connect to health care, along<br />
with social services. At INSITE our group<br />
divided into two camps as we could not<br />
agree if it is better to cure people as they<br />
do at PORTAGE or to help them live<br />
longer with their addiction. Fortunately<br />
visit to Vancouver’s impressing Chinatown<br />
saved us from further difficult discussions.<br />
Our last stop was the most British city<br />
in North America, Victoria, where we listened<br />
to presentations about BC history,<br />
politics, trade strategy and initiatives.<br />
The last afternoon we spent at the University<br />
of Victoria, getting to know what<br />
the students’ life in Canada looks like.<br />
The study tour was over on October 1st.<br />
It was a very interesting time during<br />
which we learnt many things about Canada,<br />
met wonderful people and saw places<br />
which are normally difficult to visit.<br />
What is more, thanks to a well prepared<br />
programme, everyone found something<br />
useful <strong>for</strong> himself or herself.<br />
In the period of October and November<br />
2011, thanks to the opportunity given<br />
me by the ‘Thinking Canada 2011’ Programme,<br />
I had a great pleasure to take<br />
part in two internships in Toronto: the<br />
first one at the Consulate General of the<br />
Republic of Poland and the second one<br />
with EUCOCIT, EUNIC and the University<br />
of Toronto.<br />
In my opinion the EU-Canada Study<br />
Tour and Internship Programme ‘Thinking<br />
Canada’ is a great initiative which can<br />
help the EU students to understand better<br />
this fascinating country. As <strong>for</strong> those<br />
who already are interested in Canada,<br />
like I am, it really gives an opportunity<br />
to meet valuable people from various Canadian<br />
institutions and to broaden horizons.<br />
Seven cities, tens of places, nearly<br />
hundred of lectures, presentations and<br />
meetings, thousands of conversations or<br />
vivid discussions - it is something, it really<br />
matters.<br />
Personally I found this programme one of<br />
the most important experience in my life<br />
which I can highly recommend to everyone.<br />

The programme of the EU-Canada Study<br />
Tour – “Thinking Canada” was so varied<br />
that it covered an enormous number of<br />
topics, such as the EU and EU-Canada<br />
relations; Aboriginal people, institutions,<br />
culture and governance; bilingualism,<br />
multiculturalism and immigration; business,<br />
industry and labor relations; social<br />
issues, health and humantrafficking; human<br />
rights and civil society; urbanism<br />
and urban planning; and environmental<br />
issues. Significantly, from the vantage<br />
point of my interdisciplinary research interests,<br />
I – within the course of the tour<br />
– was able to attend numerous thoughtprovoking<br />
lectures by local Canadian academics<br />
and government officials, opening<br />
a new window to delving into a number<br />
of nagging me questions concerning Canada.<br />
Namely, to name but a few, at the Nunavut<br />
Sivuniksavut College in Ottawa,<br />

I participated in the discussion on the<br />
Inuit people and their culture as well as<br />
changes they need to undergo in an ef<strong>for</strong>t<br />
to preserve their values. Furthermore, at<br />
the Assembly of First Nations, more light<br />
was shed upon how First Nations work together<br />
to realize their rights and responsibilities,<br />
provide education funding on<br />
reserves, manage resource development,<br />
and embark upon establishing economic<br />
relationship with China. In a similar vein,<br />
what likewise attracted my attention was<br />
presentation concerning Canada’s Northern<br />
policy as well as a discussion of the<br />
inclusion of Indigenous people and Permanent<br />
Participant organizations in circumpolar<br />
dialogue and activities.<br />
Another issue that was put <strong>for</strong>ward during<br />
the study tour was Canada’s drug<br />
policy and a dialogue to compare and<br />
contrast Canadian and European approaches.<br />
The series of lectures on the<br />
topic at stake were followed by a visit at<br />
the major drug treatment facility in Canada<br />
located in Montreal – Portage. Interestingly,<br />
the topic of drug addiction was<br />
discussed further and in minute detail<br />
in Vancouver. That is to say, numerous<br />
approaches towards fighting drug addiction<br />
in British Columbia were brought to<br />
the <strong>for</strong>e by Russell Maynard and Monika<br />
Stein at the INSITE, a legal supervised<br />
injection site in Downtown Eastside Vancouver.<br />
They also talked about the history<br />
of the INSITE, the events that actually<br />
precipitated its creation, how the<br />
place operates on a daily basis, and who<br />
the demographic is that attends the injection<br />
site. Along went an introduction<br />
to the continuum of services targeted at<br />
healing the community struggling with<br />
the urban issues that all low income areas<br />
struggle with on a global scale.<br />
Yet, most importantly, the EU-Canada<br />
Study Tour and Internship Programme<br />
2011 – “Thinking Canada” provided me<br />
with a unique opportunity to further my<br />
research into the practice of oral storytelling<br />
in fiction as a mechanism of dealing<br />
with hyphenated identities of Asian-Canadian<br />
writers via having a insight into<br />
various unpublished documents, photos,<br />
and private records concerning the internment<br />
period of the Japanese Canadians<br />
and their relocation processes to internment<br />
camps during the First and Second<br />
World War. Importantly, they may serve<br />
as an underlying basis of understanding<br />
various issues conveyed in the plotlines<br />
of their novels. I was able to conduct interviews<br />
about hyphenated identity and<br />
the internment period with a few people<br />
representing the second and third generations<br />
of Japanese and Chinese Canadians.<br />
What also turned out to be of paramount<br />
importance was UBC Professor Haybe<br />
Wai’s presentation on the Chinese, Japanese,<br />
and South Asian communities in<br />
British Columbia followed by a walking<br />
tour of historic Chinatown. Although<br />
Vancouver was presented as proudly multicultural,<br />
its past racism, once silenced<br />
history, slow social change, and current<br />
institutional challenges were not underscored<br />
but addressed.<br />
Furthermore, as an intern at the Asia Pacific<br />
Foundation of Canada, I played an<br />
essential part in the functioning of the<br />
National Conversation on Asia, having<br />
a wide-ranging role in the APF project<br />

staff both contributing and learning in<br />
tandem. More precisely, I was responsible<br />
<strong>for</strong> carrying out research on the controversial<br />
issue of Confucius Institutes and<br />
<strong>for</strong> preparing a conversation along backgrounders<br />
on the topic at stake. Additionally,<br />
together with another intern Nabila<br />
Pirani, I created and launched a conversation<br />
on Canada’s bilateral and multilateral<br />
trade agreements with Asia which are<br />
under negotiation or consideration. Another<br />
internship task worth mentioning<br />
is that over the next few weeks, I gathered<br />
in<strong>for</strong>mation on the APEC and G20’s<br />
approach to fossil fuel subsidy reduction<br />
and phase out from a collection of essays,<br />
reports, segments of speeches, and television<br />
commentaries.<br />
During this time, I was likewise requested<br />
to help in updating the NCA<br />
Resource page, particularly the latest opeds,<br />
research reports, policy papers, news<br />
articles, and videos that have Canada-<br />
Asia content <strong>for</strong> the Education, Culture<br />
and Communities section. Moreover, I<br />
looked <strong>for</strong> various in<strong>for</strong>mation on the<br />
relationship of APF’s founding partners<br />
with Asia. Towards the end of my tenure,<br />
I concentrated solely on conducting<br />
research on hypothetical conflict triggers<br />
and scenarios in the South China Sea and<br />
Indian Ocean and their implications <strong>for</strong><br />
Canada <strong>for</strong> the purpose of APF’s workshop<br />
Strategic Implications of Conflict in<br />
the South China Sea and Indian Ocean.<br />
The internship at the Asia Pacific Foundation<br />
of Canada enabled me to delve further<br />
into Canada-Asia relations and their<br />
benefits <strong>for</strong> Canada. What needs to be<br />
there<strong>for</strong>e emphasized is the fact that I was<br />
provided with an opportunity to increase<br />
my exposure to Asia via taking part in<br />
distinguished lectures and roundtables on<br />
Asia-related issues, such as “Thailand’s<br />
Flood Crisis 2011”; “Green Development<br />
of India’s Energy Sector”; Singapore’s<br />
New Citizenship Project”; “Japan’s Recovery<br />
Post March 2011 Triple Disaster”<br />
etc. What was also of great importance<br />
was the fact that such events were frequently<br />
featured numerous panelists and<br />
speakers who are senior government officials,<br />
renowned social practitioners and<br />
researchers speaking with authority about<br />
developments in their fields of interest<br />
and work.<br />
Moving further, working with people<br />
from multicultural backgrounds, especially<br />
of Asian descent, was an excellent<br />
opportunity to understand their complicated<br />
Asian Canadian identity and probe<br />
into the rich blend of cultures, lifestyles,<br />
religions, and aspirations within the<br />
Asia Pacific region and British Columbia<br />
alongside possible effects on each other’s<br />
societies. Notably, drawing on my coworkers’<br />
expertise in different specialties<br />
of Canada-Asia relations helped me to<br />
collect novel and reliable ideas related to<br />
Canada’s links with China as well as Canadian<br />
citizens of Chinese and Japanese<br />
descent living in British Columbia, which<br />
cannot be obtained via online sources.<br />
The internship largely fuelled my interest<br />
in free trade agreements, substantially enriching<br />
my previous knowledge on various<br />
trade negotiations between Canada<br />
and EU with Canada’s trade negotiations<br />
with Asia since there is a rising importance<br />
of Asia in the global economy.<br />

Doing research on possible conflict scenarios<br />
having crucial implications <strong>for</strong> Canada,<br />
fishing grounds, and sea lanes in the South<br />
China Sea and Indian Ocean, I realized<br />
the importance of this area <strong>for</strong> the global<br />
trade and its strategic value <strong>for</strong> the claimants,<br />
such as China, Taiwan, Vietnam, and<br />
the Philippines. Thus, as has been already<br />
mentioned, equipped with a solid knowledge<br />
of South China shipping lanes and<br />
regional tensions, with particular emphasis<br />
on territorial disputes between China and<br />
Vietnam, I played an essential role in the<br />
preparation of the workshop proposal devoted<br />
to the discussion of possible conflicts<br />
in the South China Sea along their longterm<br />
implications <strong>for</strong> Canada.<br />
To sum up, during the EU-Canada<br />
Study Tour and Internship Programme<br />
2011 – “Thinking Canada”, with particular<br />
emphasis placed on the internship<br />
at the Asia Pacific Foundation of<br />
Canada, it turned out to be a unique<br />
chance to enrich the interdisciplinary<br />
panorama of my research interests.<br />
Having a wide-range role in the APF<br />
staff and working on the National Conversation<br />
on Asia project, I learned to<br />
create active online conversations in social<br />
media to inspire thought-provoking<br />
and fruitful discussions, bringing together<br />
established Canada-Asia experts,<br />
Canada’s emerging leaders on Asia, and<br />
ordinary Canadians. During data base<br />
meetings and video conferences with<br />
the office in Toronto taking place every<br />
week, I was obliged to present a summary<br />
of my activities <strong>for</strong> the National<br />
Conversation on Asia, which substantially<br />
enabled me to build up my selfconfidence<br />
in my presentation skills.<br />
Working in the multicultural background<br />
where I could speak other languages<br />
than English, I was able to improve<br />
largely my command of Japanese<br />
and Chinese. Last but not least, during<br />
my tenure at the foundation, I – having<br />
an access to the rich archives of the<br />
Vancouver Public Library as well as the<br />
Asia Pacific Foundation – was capable<br />
of largely furthering my research on the<br />
storytelling mechanisms and hyphenated<br />
identity of Asian-Canadians.<br />

The departure point of the present study is, at<br />
the same time, a point of convergence of literary<br />
discourses, mainstream feminist theories<br />
and psychological <strong>studies</strong> focused upon the<br />
nature of the shame affect. It is upon such a<br />
fundament that Zuzanna Szatanik translates<br />
the psychological theory of shame into the<br />
language of feminism, thus building a foundation<br />
<strong>for</strong> a gendered theory of shame. Because<br />
shame is felt in and on the body, and, at the<br />
same time, breaches the body’s limits, it makes<br />
one feel both indiscernible and overexposed. A<br />
shamed person is there<strong>for</strong>e perplexingly (un)<br />
framed: In this book, the “I” whose identity is<br />
thus unfixed is gendered feminine. Hence, the<br />
underlying assumption of Szatanik’s argument<br />
is that, like shame, the rhetorical disempowerment<br />
of shaming discourses will manifest<br />
itself in and on the shameless body: at home<br />
with one’s body, the de-shamed self becomes<br />
“riftless.” No longer politically disciplined or<br />
coerced, no longer determined by the androcentric<br />
language, Woman’s self loses rigid fixity<br />
imposed by patriarchal categories: instead,<br />
it brings a plethora of possible alternatives into<br />
play.<br />

Poised against language, literature has the<br />
power of annulling and redefining categories<br />
not only by deconstructing oppositions<br />
upon which central metanarratives rest,<br />
but also by its capacity of exposing the<br />
reader to an experience which, in itself,<br />
transgresses discourse. An act of reading,<br />
as well as an act of writing, is an existential<br />
act, throwing one into the liminal space<br />
where discourses cease to function. It is<br />
such an experience, born in the Author’s<br />
immersion in the literary rhetoric of Canada,<br />
that inspires this book: the theoretical<br />
reflection concerning the fundamentals of<br />
culture is derived from the “literary testing<br />
ground” of Lorna Crozier’s poetry, whose<br />
intuitive attempts to use language against<br />
itself result in the disempowering of the<br />
rhetoric of shame without resorting to the<br />
use of unyieldingly rigid, institutionalised,<br />
“intersubjectively verifiable” categories.<br />
The book begins where Crozier has left off:<br />
it uses her literary intuitions as a pretext to<br />
revise existing theoretical visions of shame<br />
in order to propose a non-essentialist theory,<br />
which would acknowledge the value<br />
of metaphorical, non-categorial, poetic<br />
language as a means to both describe and<br />
create reality.<br />

Journée de la culture québécoise –<br />

La dixième édition de la Journée de la culture<br />
québécoise à l’Institut des Langues<br />
romanes et de Traduction s’est tenue le<br />
5 avril inaugurée par Monsieur le Professeur<br />
Krzysztof Jarosz. Ces journées sont<br />
devenues pour les étudiants de l’Université<br />
de Silésie l’occasion de découvrir la culture<br />
du Canada et de la Belle Province<br />
en particulier. Cette année, pour attirer<br />
l’attention du public non seulement francophone,<br />
la journée s’est déroulée en polonais.<br />
Premièrement, Ewelina Bujnowska<br />
(Université de Silésie) et Ewa Figas (École<br />
polytechnique de Silésie) ont essayé de<br />
rendre compte de leurs premières impressions<br />
lors du voyage au Québec (« Impresje<br />
z podróży »). Ensuite, Ewelina Bujnowska<br />
a aussi parlé d’une chanson interprétée<br />
par le groupe québécois Loco Locasse et<br />
le rappeur Samian en rappelant les circonstances<br />
de sa création et quelques faits<br />
historiques concernant les autochtones<br />
du Canada et liés à la chanson (« Jak oni<br />
śpiewają ! O pewnej quebeckiej piosence<br />
»). La présentation suivante d’Aleksandra<br />
Chrupała et de Karolina Kapołka a permis<br />
aux participants de connaître la légende<br />
des attrapeurs de rêve et en même temps<br />
de s’entraîner à effectuer leur propre attrapeur<br />
de rêves (« Łapacze snów w teorii<br />
i praktyce »).<br />
Comme lors des deux dernières éditions,<br />
notre expect en hockey, Dawid<br />
Dryżałowski du site polonais de la Ligue<br />
nationale de hockey a voulu se joindre<br />
aux enthousiastes du Canada. Cette fois,<br />
il a choisi comme le sujet de son intervention<br />
le gardien de but de hockey et son rôle<br />
(« Człowiek za kratami: o bramkarzach<br />
hokejowych słów kilka »). Katrzyna Jopa,<br />
étudiante en 3e année du français langue<br />
appliquée a présenté au public la vie quotidienne<br />
au Québec en essayant de mettre en<br />
avant les faits et de combattre les mythes<br />
(« Życie codzienne w Quebeku : fakty<br />
i mity »). L’étudiante a entre autres montré<br />
les résultats de sa propre enquête menée<br />
parmi les Québécois via Internet. Pour les<br />
amateurs du français au Québec, Aleksandra<br />
Chrupała a préparé un concours intitulé<br />
« Do you speak québécois ? » pendant<br />
lequel chaque participant a appris à parler<br />
un peu québécois.<br />
La projection du film d’Yves Desgagnés<br />
« Idole instantanée » de 2005 a clôturé la<br />
journée de la culture québécoise. Dans les<br />
halls de l’Institut, le public a pu découvrir<br />
les poèmes de François Turcot extraits du<br />
recueil Cette maison n’est pas la mienne en<br />
traduction polonaise faite par les étudiantes<br />
du seminaire du Professeur Krzysztof<br />

« Traduction et déplacements identitaires<br />
: du Canada français minoritaire<br />
vers la Pologne ».<br />
Dans son exposé, la conférencière a entamé<br />
une réflexion portant sur la problématique<br />
des démarches traductives nécessitées par<br />
le transfert d’une langue et d’une culture<br />
minorisées et fragilisées par une histoire<br />
perturbée vers une langue et une culture<br />

nationales et identitaires solides malgré son<br />
histoire tumultueuse.<br />
Mme Zuchelkowska a aussi discuté les difficultés<br />
de traduction que présentent les<br />
pratiques discursives considérées comme<br />
périphériques par rapport aux usages<br />
standards d’une langue du fait qu’elles ne<br />
reproduisent pas la norme. Pour ce faire,<br />
ses exemples se rapportaient aux traductions<br />
polonaises de quelques œuvres franco-canadiennes<br />
choisies dans lesquelles il y<br />
a un projet de « construction » identitaire<br />
de communautés minoritaires aliénées à<br />
partir des vestiges d’une identité qui se<br />
désintègre au fil du temps.<br />
voire connotatif du texte. Mais à bien considérer<br />
les choses, le fait de le « déplacer »,<br />
ne sous-entendrait-il pas des modifications<br />
qui puissent gommer le caractère identitaire<br />
du texte?<br />
Car en définitive, dans ce cadre, l’objectif<br />
de la traduction ne consisterait-il pas à<br />
« déplacer » l’identité francophone telle<br />
qu’exprimée dans le texte source dans la<br />
langue polonaise en s’assurant d’une perception<br />
ou d’une réception qui soit la plus<br />
fidèle possible à l’original?<br />
Une microanalyse des stratégies de traduction<br />
retenues par les traductrices et traducteurs<br />
polonais a suivi en vue de sensibiliser<br />
le public cible à la réalité d’être francophone<br />
minoritaire au Canada.<br />
Dans ces conditions, une question se pose<br />
au traducteur : Comment « déplacer »<br />
ou bien encore réactiver la construction<br />
identitaire du texte source dans la langue<br />
d’arrivée? En effet, l’incompatibilité tant<br />
des ressources linguistiques que des contextes<br />
sociolinguistiques propres aux communautés<br />
concernées, en l’occurrence les<br />
communautés canadiennes francophones<br />
minoritaires et polonaise, pose un défi de<br />
taille au traducteur polonais. Certes, en<br />
traduisant, on tâche de « déplacer » dans la<br />
langue d’arrivée, le plus fidèlement possible,<br />
le contenu tant <strong>for</strong>mel que sémantique,<br />

Afin de rendre l’automne polonais un<br />
peu moins morose, les organisateurs des<br />
Journées de la culture québécoise se sont<br />
décidés à rapporter cet événement culturel<br />
à la mi-novembre. Parmi les activités des<br />
journées québécoises à l’Université de Silésie,<br />
il ne pourrait manquer la présentation<br />
de notre invité spécial, Dawid Dryżałowski,<br />
spécialiste en hockey et rédacteur en chef<br />
du site polonais de la Ligue nationale de<br />
hockey. Il nous a fait une intervention passionnante<br />
sur l’éternelle rivalité sur glace<br />
de deux puissances mondiales, le pays de<br />
la feuille d’érable et celui de l’étoile rouge<br />
(« Klonowy liść i czerwona gwiazda : kilka<br />
słów o zmaganiach dwóch największych<br />
hokejowych potęg »). Après l’histoire<br />
de la rivalité canado-russe, le temps est<br />
venu de passer à l’histoire du Canada<br />
retracée en grandes lignes par Marcin<br />
Gabryś (Université Jagellonne). Grâce à<br />
cet aperçu historique, les participants ont<br />
eu l’occasion de prendre connaissance des<br />
principaux aspects de l’histoire canadienne<br />
(« Od Irokezów do Wayne’a Grotzky’ego :<br />
wprowadzenie do historii Kanady »).<br />
La communication suivante a été consacrée<br />
aux sacres québécois (« Sacrés sacres<br />
czyli o przekleństwa w Quebeku »).<br />
Ewa Figas (École polytechnique de Silésie)<br />
nous a introduit dans les méandres<br />
des sacres québécois, des tabernacle et<br />
hostie aux ciboire et calice. Elle a rappelé<br />
l’histoire de l’apparition des sacres<br />
en français du Québec et a souligné le<br />
rôle que l’Église catholique avait joué<br />
dans l’histoire de la province et dans<br />
la création des gros mots d’inspiration<br />
liturgique.<br />
Pour satisfaire le public francophone,<br />
les chercheurs de notre Institut ont aussi<br />
préparé deux interventions en français :<br />
l’une présentée par Karolina Kapołka<br />
a porté sur les chats dans la littérature<br />
québécoise et l’autre faite par Aleksandra<br />
Chrupała a permis aux participants de se<br />
familiariser avec les animaux du Nord de<br />
l’Amérique.<br />
Puisque le 25 novembre est la fête de la<br />
Sainte Catherine, les étudiantes ont été<br />
également invitées à participer au concours<br />
du plus beau chapeau. Avant la remise<br />
des prix, Aleksandra Chrupała a rappelé<br />
l’origine de la fête des catherinettes et a<br />
expliqué d’où vient la tradition de « coiffer<br />
sainte Catherine ». Ensuite, les étudiants<br />
ont pu mettre à l’épreuve leurs connaissances<br />
sur le Canada et le Québec en prenant<br />
part à un quiz (« Co wiecie o Kanadzie<br />
i Quebeku ? »). L’équipe des professeurs a<br />
emporté mais les étudiants de la spécialité<br />
français-anglais langues appliquées leur<br />
ont emboîté le pas.<br />
La journée a fini par la projection du film<br />
documentaire de Victor Armony de 2011<br />

The scholarship is aimed to facilitate the<br />

<strong>for</strong>eign Canadianists who are members of<br />
a Canadian Studies Association or Associate<br />
Member belonging to the International<br />

Council <strong>for</strong> Canadian Studies. This fund<br />
assists <strong>for</strong>eign Canadianists by granting financial<br />
aid to a recognized scholarly press<br />
once the work is published.<br />
The Fund may also grant financial assistance<br />
<strong>for</strong> the translation from English or<br />
French into a third language and from a<br />
third language into French or English.<br />
In this case, conditions and procedures<br />
remain the same, but instead of a manuscript<br />
the press will submit a published<br />
monograph that it would like to see translated.<br />
The Publishing Fund does not fund<br />
translations from English to French or<br />
from French into English.<br />

The Canadian Resource Centre was established<br />
at the Faculty of Languages in 1999<br />
as a joint venture of Nicolaus Copernicus<br />
University in Toruń and the Canadian<br />
Embassy in Warsaw, with the generous<br />
support of the International Council <strong>for</strong><br />
Canadian Studies in Ottawa. The Centre<br />
per<strong>for</strong>ms a threefold task: teaching, scholarly<br />
research, and promotion of Canadian<br />
Studies (hosts guest lectures and screenings<br />
of documentary films on Canada<br />
which are addressed not only to the faculty<br />
and students of the English Department<br />
and the French Department but also to<br />
the community of Toruń and the region).<br />

Depuis 1997, le Centre est dirigé par le<br />
professeur Józef Kwaterko. A partir de<br />
1994, le Centre se consacre à la recherche<br />
et à l’enseignement de la littérature québécoise<br />
au niveau de BA, MA et PhD. De<br />
1994 à 2007, y ont été élaborés et soutenus<br />
environ 25 mémoires de maîtrise et 3<br />
travaux de licence portant sur le roman, le<br />
théâtre et la poésie du Québec. Actuellement,<br />
4 thèses de doctorats et 4 mémoires<br />
de maîtrise y sont en cours de rédaction.<br />
Certains travaux de recherche portent sur<br />
un aspect comparé (littérature québécoise<br />
et franco-caribéenne). Le Centre possède<br />
un riche fonds documentaire pouvant être<br />

of American Studies and Polish Diaspora.<br />
The head of Canadian Studies Centre,<br />
Prof. Anna Reczyńska, is one of the most<br />
prominent experts in Canadian history<br />
and diaspora <strong>studies</strong> in the region. Today<br />
the Institute of American Studies and<br />
Polish Diaspora offers a wide variety of<br />
regular and often inter-disciplinary courses<br />
on Canadian topics. Among many courses<br />
taught there one can find: Introduction<br />
to Canada, Canadian History, Society of<br />
Canada, Quebec Issues, Canadian Political<br />
System, Canadian Higher Education System,<br />
Canadian Film, and courses on Canadian<br />
Suffrage Movement, Native Peoples<br />

Canadian_Literature<br />
Canadian literature and culture courses<br />
have been taught in the Department of<br />
English of Adam Mickiewicz University<br />
since the late 1980s, first by dr Jarosław<br />
Sokół and since the mid-1990s by dr Agnieszka<br />
Rzepa. Currently, the Department offers<br />
regularly M.A. seminars and elective seminars<br />
on contemporary Canadian literature.<br />
L’activité du Centre de recherche sur le<br />
Canada francophone s’inscrit dans le<br />
courant multiculturel dominant présentement<br />
dans l’enseignement des langues<br />
étrangères; face à un développement dynamique<br />
des recherches portant sur les<br />
pays francophones, notamment dans le<br />
domaine de la traduction littéraire, il est<br />
d’autant plus nécessaire d’intégrer ladite<br />
recherche au sein des projets plus<br />

Two agreements of co-operation with<br />

University and Wilfrid Laurier University,<br />

developed (e.g. a student research trip to<br />
Vancouver Island University – a project<br />
entitled: “Transcultural dialogues between<br />
Canada and Poland. Educating <strong>for</strong> ethics<br />
of diversity” was completed in 2010). An<br />
earlier co-operation agreement of the University<br />
of Silesia with the University of Alberta,<br />
Edmonton, Alberta, has been still<br />
active.<br />
The Institure library boast a growing collection<br />
of Canadiana thanks to grants from<br />
the Canadian Embassy and donations from<br />
various Canadian publishing houses.<br />
Canadian Studies Student Circle affiliated<br />
with the Centre was founded in 2009.<br />

En 2003, la Chaire d’études canadiennes a<br />
été mise sur pied à l’Institut des Langues<br />
Romanes et de Traduction de Université de<br />
Silésie par le Professeur Krzysztof Jarosz.<br />
Elle dédie ses activités en enseignement<br />
supérieur, en recherche, en publication et<br />
en animation à son aire de prédilection, la<br />
littérature canadienne postmoderne.<br />
À présent, onze chercheurs et chercheuses<br />
francophones et anglophones y travaillent.<br />
Une monographie portant sur l’œuvre<br />
de Robert Lalonde et une anthologie de<br />
nouvelles québécoises contemporaines<br />
ont été publiés. Un doctorat sur le roman<br />
historique postmoderne et postcolonial<br />
au Québec a été soutenu. Une thèse<br />
d’habilitation sur la traduction en polonais<br />
de la littérature québécoise et trois thèses<br />
de doctorats y sont en cours de rédaction.<br />
Aujourd’hui, la Chaire a un objectif plus<br />
ambitieux qui est de développer des re-<br />

cherches interdisciplinaires en littérature<br />
et culture canadiennes. Les travaux menés<br />
par les chercheurs touchent les questions<br />
plus vitales de la littérature canadienne des<br />

Deux colloques internationaux, « La<br />
réécriture dans la littérature québécoise »<br />
et « De la fondation de Québec au Canada<br />
d’aujourd’hui (1608–2008) : Rétrospectives,<br />
parcours et défis » se sont tenus en<br />
2006 et en 2008 à l’initiative du professeur<br />
Jarosz. Deux volumes portant<br />
sur les mêmes thèmes ont été publiés en<br />
2007 et en 2009. La Chaire a également<br />
contribué à l’organisation du 5e Congrès<br />
de l’Association polonaise d’études québécoises<br />
en octobre 2010 dont le fruit est le<br />
collectif sur le multiculturalisme critique<br />
paru récemment sous la direction de<br />
Ewelina Bujnowska, Marcin Gabryś et Tomasz<br />
Sikora. De nombreux chercheurs et<br />
chercheuses des universités d’Europe et du<br />
Canada s’y sont retrouvés.<br />
Chaque année, des étudiants de français<br />
peuvent participer aux cours de littérature<br />
canadienne d’expression française, de<br />
langue française au Canada et de civilisation<br />
du Québec sur un fond d’histoire et<br />
de civilisation du Canada. Des mémoires<br />
de licence et de maîtrise, notamment sur la<br />
traduction de la littérature québécoise sont<br />
élaborés annuellement.<br />
Depuis 2005, les journées québécoises<br />
sont organisées et permettent à un grand<br />
nombre d’étudiants de se familiariser avec<br />

It is with pleasure that we invite you to participate in the 6 th Congress of<br />
Polish Canadianists, which will take place between 5 th and 7 th of April 2013<br />
in Poznań, Poland. Congress presentations will focus on the often disturbed<br />
or destabilized relations among linguistic, literary and cultural communities<br />
of Canada in the context of the political and legal framework within which<br />
they exist. We hope to draw scholars from a variety of disciplines within the<br />
Canadian Studies and beyond who want to reflect on the emergence of<br />
multidisciplinary links among the political, the social and the cultural within<br />
Canada. Results of initial research into those areas carried over the last ten<br />
years indicate that, whether one takes a socio-political, cultural or literary<br />
perspective, it is no longer possible to ignore tensions between differing views<br />
regarding the nature of the above mentioned links and interdependencies.<br />
Canada, though apparently faithful to the principles of multidisciplinarity<br />
and multiculturalism, still has to face and deal with intense conflicts that go<br />
beyond the limits of academic discourse. How can one define or think about<br />
relationships between cultural and linguistic communities of Canada and the<br />
rule of law in relation to this complex interaction between dialogue and the<br />
apparent exclusion and silencing?

The organizers invite you to consider the specificity of the three major<br />
kinds of tensions occurring in contemporary Canadian society, i.e. negotiations-<br />
-negations-antagonisms, from the point of view of the law, economy, politics,<br />
sociology, culture, literature, linguistics and translation <strong>studies</strong>.<br />
Potential proposals may include, but are not limited, to the following topics:<br />
• jurisprudence in the context of official bilingualism and multilingual<br />
practice; is it in the service of the humanist ideal that aims to create<br />
a common culture? or, does it serve instead to strengthen the cultural<br />
divisions by highlighting breakdowns of communication and broken links<br />
between groups that constitute the multicultural context?;<br />
• official languages of Canada and official translation;<br />
• the impact of the official bilingualism on the policy and practice of<br />
translation;<br />
• the impact of the relations between cultural and linguistic communities in<br />
Canada and the rule of law on national identity;<br />
• the role of the English language in everyday life in comparison to its legal<br />
status (ideological framework);<br />
• publication laws and the dissemination of Canadian minority literatures;<br />
• the impact of legal translation on literary themes and devices;<br />
• promotion policy of the official languages;<br />
• official bilingualism and the rule of law;<br />
• legal and political developments in relation to language issues;<br />
• language laws: federal and provincial;<br />
• linguistic diversity and the economic integration of Canadian provinces;<br />
• redefinition of the relations between the two official languages and minority<br />
languages;<br />
• the impact of the change of the legal status of a given language on the<br />
restructuring of the linguistic and economic markets;<br />
• the impact of provincial and regional specificity on legislation related to<br />
cultural and linguistic issues;<br />
• literary and critical reflection on the Canadian “pastoral ideal” and pastoral<br />
tradition in support of/against Northrop Frye’s claims of its centrality <strong>for</strong><br />
the concept of Canada as “a Peaceable Kingdom”;<br />
• idealistic impulses in Canadian social and literary tradition versus social<br />
and cultural practice;<br />
• links between Canadian literary markets and legal regulations/cultural<br />
policies of the Canadian government today and in the past;<br />
• anglophone and francophone literatures in Canada: historical and<br />
contemporary interdependencies, dialogues, conflicts; how are these<br />
facilitated or not by the legal framework?;<br />
• banned and challenged books: censorship in Canada today and in the past;<br />
• majority and minority Canadian literatures (ethnic, racial, class, gender);

prédilection de ce congrès est le caractère, souvent boulversé ou déséquilibré,<br />
des relations entre les communautés linguistiques, littéraires et culturelles<br />
envers les structures et établissements d’envergure politique et juridique ou<br />
envers elles-mêmes, étant donné que les études canadiennes consacrent depuis<br />
une dizaine d’années une attention particulière à l’égard de l’émergence<br />
pluridisciplinaire des rapports politiques, sociaux et culturels au sein de l’État<br />
canadien. Il en résulte que la réflexion scientifique sur lesdits problèmes ne<br />
peut plus ignorer les tensions entre les points de vue divergents en ce qui<br />
concerne la nature de ce rapports, envisagés tout aussi bien sous l’angle<br />
sociopolitique que linguistique ou littéraire , tensions qui revêtent les trois<br />
<strong>for</strong>mes principales: négociations – négations – antagonismes. De même, une<br />
question se pose, à savoir: comment peut-on penser les relations entre les<br />
communautés culturelles et linguistiques du Canada et l’application de la loi
Le Royaume paisible? Relations entre les communautés culturelles...<br />

par rapport à cette interaction complexe entre le dialogue et l’exclusion<br />
apparente? Apparemment fidèle à la vertu de la pluridisciplinarité et du<br />
pluriculturalisme, le Canada n’est pourtant pas étrangère à toute sorte de<br />
conflits intenses qui dépassent même les limites du discours scientifique.<br />
Les organisateurs vous invitent à la réflexion au sujet de la spécificité de ces<br />
trois principales interactions relationnelles se manifestant dans la société<br />
canadienne contemporaine, interactions revêtant différents parcours-juridiques,<br />
économiques, politiques, littéraires, linguistiques, traductologiques, sociaux et<br />
culturels- que nous nous proposons d’explorer durant le congrès. Ainsi, ce<br />
congrès se propose de poursuivre la discussion à propos de la problématique<br />
des rapports relatifs aux phénomènes socio-juridiques, ceci en prenant en compte,<br />
entre autres, les acquis théoriques et méthodologiques que les études canadiennes<br />
ont enregistrés au cours des vingt dernières années.<br />
Nous invitons les chercheurs et chercheuses représentant des disciplines<br />
différentes à soumettre des propositions de communications qui aborderont,<br />
sans pourtant s’y limiter, les problèmes suivants :<br />
• la jurisprudence dans des contextes de multilinguisme officiel est-elle au<br />
service de l’idéal humaniste qui vise à créer une culture commune? Sinon,<br />
sert-elle plutôt à ren<strong>for</strong>cer les divisions culturelles en soulignant les<br />
rencontres manquées entre les groupes sociolinguistiques qui constituent<br />
ces contextes? ;<br />
• langue institutionnelle au Canada par rapport à traduction officielle ;<br />
• traduction institutionnelle de l’État canadien ;<br />
• effets du multilinguisme officiel sur les politiques de traduction et sa<br />
pratique ;<br />
• effets des relations entre les communautés culturelles et linguistiques du<br />
Canada et l’application de la loi sur l’identité nationale ;<br />
• rapports de <strong>for</strong>ce dont jouit la langue anglaise au Canada dans la vie<br />
quotidienne comparativement à son statut légal (cadre idéologique) ;<br />
• application de la loi éditoriale et la diffusion des littératures canadiennes<br />
minoritaires ;<br />
• politique de promotion des langues nationales ;<br />
• bilinguisme officiel et application de la loi ;<br />
• jurisprudence en matière linguistique ;<br />
• diversité linguistique vs intégration économique des provinces canadiennes ;<br />
• actions sur les langues dans le cadre des États provinciaux ;<br />
• redéfinition des relations entre langues dominantes et langues dominées ;<br />
• changement de statut juridique d’une langue donnée et son impact sur la<br />
recomposition du marché linguistique et économique ;<br />
• aménagement(s) juridique(s) et politique(s) des questions linguistiques ;<br />
• apport des particularités provinciales et régionales dans le domaine de la<br />
loi;

• réflexion critique et littéraire sur l’ “idéal pastoral” canadien et la tradition<br />
pastorale appuyant/contestant les revendications de Northrop Frye<br />
concernant son concept du Canada centralisé perçu comme “Royaume<br />
Paisible” ;<br />
• penchants idéalistes au sein de la société canadienne; tradition sociale et<br />
littéraire vs la pratique du quotidien ;<br />
• liaisons entre les marchés littéraires canadiens et les réglementations<br />
juridiques/politiques culturelles de l’État canadien autrefois et de nos jours ;<br />
• littérature d’expression anglaise et française au Canada; interdépendances<br />
historiques et contemporaines, dialogues, conflits, et leur prise en charge<br />
politico-juridique éventuelle ;<br />
• oeuvres interdites ou contestées; censure au Canada autrefois et de nos jours;<br />
• majorités et minorités canadiennes (ethniques, linguistiques, sexuelles,<br />
politiques, sociales) ;<br />
• réactions politiques, juridiques et littéraires envers l’Autre, l’exclusion et la<br />
stigmatisation des individus et des communautés ;<br />
• prise en charge des études sur les enjeux de la sexualité dans le cadre<br />
multiculturel ;<br />
• littératures et cultures des Premières Nations au sein du Royaume Paisible.<br />
Les résumés de communications, d’une longueur d’environ 200-300 mots,<br />
accompagnés d’une courte notice biographique (prière de ne pas dépasser<br />
une page), sont à envoyer aux organisatrices jusqu’au 30 novembre <strong>2012</strong>.<br />
