1974 United Nations - Treaty Series * Nations Unies - Recueil des Traitis 25 [TRADUCTION-TRANSLATION] ACCORD' RELATIF AUX TRANSPORTS AtRIENS RIGULIERS ENTRE LES 8TATS-UNIS DU BRISIL ET LA RIPUBLIQUE FI8DIRALE D'ALLEMAGNE Le Gouvernement des Etats-Unis du Br~sil et le Gouvernement de la R~publique f~d~rale d'Allemagne, consid~rant : Que les possibilit~s de plus en plus larges qu'offre l'aviation commerciale revetent une importance toujours plus grande; Que ce mode de transport, dont la caract~ristique essentielle est d'assurer des communications rapides, permet un rapprochement plus grand entre les nations; Qu'il y aurait int~ret A organiser des services a~riens internationaux r~guliers de mani~re sfre et ordonn~e sans prejudice des int~rets nationaux et r~gionaux et compte tenu du d~veloppement de la cooperation internationale dans le domaine des transports a~riens; Qu'il importe d'laborer un accord afin d'assurer des communications a~riennes 2 r~gulires entre les deux pays et au-del; Ont d~sign6 A cet effet pour leurs pl~nipotentiaires Les Etats-Unis du Br~sil : Son Excellence M. Jos6 Carlos de Macedo Soares, Ministre d'Etat charg6 des relations ext~rieures, Son Excellence le G~n~ral de brigade adrienne Francisco de Assis Correa Mello, Ministre d'Etat charg6 des affaires a~ronautiques; La R~publique f~d~rale d'Allemagne : Son Excellence M. Werner Dankwort, Ambassadeur extraordinaire et pl~nipotentiaire de la R~publique f~drale d'Allemagne au Br~sil; Lesquels, apr~s avoir 6chang6 leurs pleins pouvoirs, trouv~s en bonne et due forme, sont convenus des dispositions suivantes : Article premier. Aux fins de l'application du present Accord, et sauf disposition contraire : a) L'expression "Autorit~s a~ronautiques > d~signe, en ce qui concerne les Etats-Unis du Br~sil, le Ministre de l'a~ronautique, et, en ce qui concerne la R~publique f~d~rale d'Allemagne, le Ministre f~d~ral des transports, ou, dans les deux cas, toute personne ou tout organisme qui serait habilit6 A remplir les fonctions exerc~es par ces derniers; b) L'expression " entreprise d~signe)> s'entend d'une ou plusieurs entreprises de transports a~riens d~sign~es par l'une des Parties contractantes pour exploiter les services convenus et au sujet desquelles une communication 6crite aura 6t6 adress~e aux Autorit~s a~ronautiques de l'autre Partie contractante, conform~ment aux dispositions de l'article 3 du present Accord; I Entr6 en vigueur le 15 aoflt 1964, soit 30 jours apr~s l'chance des instruments de ratification, qui a eu lieu A Bonn le 16 juillet 1964, conform~ment A I'article 15. 2 Ce paragraphe ne figure que dans le texte authentique allemand.
