ADDITIONAL AGREEMENT' TO THE AGREEMENT OF<br />

22 DECEMBER 19662 FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF<br />

THE CONVENTION BETWEEN THE REPUBLIC OF<br />

AUSTRIA AND THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF GER-<br />

MANY ON SOCIAL SECURITY<br />

Pursuant to article 42, paragraph (1), of the Convention between the<br />

Republic of Austria and the Federal Republic of Germany on Social Security<br />

of 22 December 19663 (hereinafter referred to as "the Convention"), the<br />

competent public authorities, namely<br />

For the Republic of Austria :<br />

The Federal Minister of Social Affairs, represented by Dr. Franz<br />

Hausner, Ministerialrat;<br />

The Federal Minister of Finance, represented by Dr. Leopold Wohlmann,<br />

Sektionsrat;<br />

For the Federal Republic of Germany:<br />

The Federal Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, represented by<br />

Dr. Kurt Jantz, Ministerialdirektor,<br />

with a view to amending the Agreement concluded on 22 December 19662<br />

for the implementation of the Convention on Social Security concluded<br />

on the same date (hereinafter referred to as "the Implementation Agreement"),<br />

have agreed as follows:<br />

Article 1<br />

1. Article 4 of the Implementation Agreement is amended to read as<br />

follows:<br />

"Article 4<br />

"In the cases referred to in articles 12 and 13 of the Convention,<br />

the competent insurance authority shall, on request, issue a certificate<br />
