1. OPERATING TIPS
Hold the tool straight up and down, parallel
to the stud. Do not rotate the tool.
Keep tool flat against the wall and do not
rock or tilt the tool when scanning.
If StudSensor i60 beeps and all of the LEDs
blink repeatedly, the unit needs to be placed
back onto the wall and recalibrated.

1. CONSEILS POUR L’OPÉRATION

2. FINDING A STUD
Always start with the scanner placed against the wall, then
press the power button. Wait for beep to confirm calibration
has completed before moving tool.
Slowly slide tool across
surface. EDGE LED will
illuminate, indicating
location of the stud edge.
Continue sliding tool. When
the center of the stud is located,
the buzzer will sound, and
both the CENTER LED and the
SpotLite will illuminate.
In cases of deeper studs (or
thicker walls) only the three
middle and CENTER LEDs will
illuminate. If you still can’t
locate a stud, try the next step.
Quickly (within one second)
release and re-press the power
button. The scanner will enter the
High Sensitivity Mode and the
DEEP LED will flash continuously.
Center of a very deep stud will
be indicated by the three middle
LEDs illuminating.
3. MARKING THE LOCATION
Once an object is located, mark the
location by gently pulling down the
MARK button with your fingertip.
A pencil point will extend from the
front of the handle, placing a short,
erasable line on the wall.
4. AC WIREWARNING ®
Zircon’s AC WireWarning feature
works continuously. When AC
voltage is detected, the AC Alert
warning icon will illuminate.

5. SCANNING DIFFERENT SURFACES
Wallpaper: The StudSensor i60 functions normally on walls covered
with wallpaper or fabric, unless the materials are metallic foil, contain
metallic fibers, or are still wet after application.
Textured walls, acoustic ceilings, or uneven surfaces: Place thin
cardboard on the surface to be scanned. Calibrate with the cardboard
in place, then begin scanning.
Wood flooring, subflooring, or gypsum
over plywood sheathing: Auto Depth Sensing
automatically corrects for target depth in both
normal and high sensitivity modes.
Note: Sensing depth and accuracy can vary due to moisture
content of materials, wall texture, and paint.
6. CHANGING MARKER TIPS
Removal: Pull and hold the MARK button to
fully extend the marker tip. Grasp the marker
and pull it off the marker post.
Replace: Pull and hold the MARK button
to fully extend the marker post. Push the
new marker onto the marker post.
Note: Two spare markers are stored in the battery compartment. Additional
marker tips can be ordered from customer service at 1-800-245-9265.

1. BEDIENUNGSHINWEISE
Richten Sie das Gerät gerade nach oben und unten sowie parallel
zum Pfosten aus. Drehen Sie das Gerät nicht herum.
Halten Sie das Gerät flach gegen die Wand,
bewegen Sie es nicht schnell hin und her und heben Sie es

2. CÓMO ENCONTRAR UNA VIGA

Lassen Sie die Ein-/Ausschalttaste los und
drücken Sie diese schnell (innerhalb von einer
Sekunde) wieder. Der Scanner geht dabei in
den High Sensitivity Mode
(Hochempfindlichkeits-Modus) über und die
DEEP LED (Anzeige von tiefliegenden Zielen)
blinkt kontinuierlich auf. Der Mittelpunkt eines sehr tief gelegenen Pfostens
wird durch die drei mittleren aufleuchtenden LED-Anzeigen angezeigt.
3. MARKIEREN DER POSITION
Sobald Sie ein Objekt geortet haben,
markieren Sie die Position, indem Sie mit
Ihrer Fingerspitze sanft die MARK Taste

4. AC WIREWARNING

5. SCANNEN VON UNTERSCHIEDLICHEN OBERFLÄCHEN
Tapeten: Der StudSensor i60 funktioniert ganz normal auf Wänden mit Tapeten oder
Stoff, ausser die verwendeten Materialien bestehen aus Metallfolien oder enthalten
Metallfasern, bzw. die Materialien sind nach dem Anbringen noch nass.
Strukturwände, Akustikdecken oder unebene Oberflächen: Halten Sie ein Stück dünner
Pappe an die zu scannende Oberfläche. Kalibrieren Sie auf der Pappe und beginnen Sie
dann mit dem Scannen.
Holzböden, Unterböden oder Gips-Trockenstein-
Mauern über Schichtholz-Ummantelungen: Der
automatische Tiefensensor (Auto Depth Sensing) richtet sich
sowohl in der Standard- als auch in der
Hochempfindlichkeits-Betriebsart automatisch nach der
Tiefe des Zielobjekts korrigierend aus.
Achtung: Die Messtiefe und die Genauigkeit können je nach Feuchtigkeitsgehalt der
Materialien, der Wandstruktur und der Farbe variieren.
Entfernen: Ziehen Sie die MARK Taste herunter und
halten Sie sie in dieser Position, so dass die
Markierspitze vollständig freigesetzt wird. Fassen Sie die
Markierspitze an und ziehen Sie sie aus der Halterung.
Einsetzen: Ziehen Sie die MARK Taste herunter und halten
Sie sie in dieser Position, damit die Halterung für
den Markierstift komplett freigelegt ist. Drücken Sie den
neuen Markierstift in die Halterung.

Zircon Corporation, (“Zircon”) gewährleistet für 2 Jahr ab
Kaufdatum, dass dieses Produkt keine Material- und
Verarbeitungsmängel aufweist. Jedes defekte Produkt, das innerhalb
der Gewährleistungsfrist an Zircon* retourniert wird, wobei die
Frachtkosten im Voraus entrichtet sein und ein Nachweis zum
Kaufdatum sowie ein Betrag von Euro 5,-- für Postgebühren und
Bearbeitung beiliegen müssen, wird nach Gutdünken von Zircon
entweder repariert oder ersetzt. Diese Gewährleistung beschränkt
sich auf die elektronische Schaltung und das Original-Gehäuse des
Gerätes und schließt ausdrücklich alle Schäden, die durch
Missbrauch, unbestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauch oder Nachlässigkeit
verursacht wurden, aus. Diese Gewährleistung tritt an Stelle von
allen anderen Gewährleistungen, ob direkt oder indirekt, und keine
anderen Vertretungen oder Forderungen jeglicher Natur sollen für
Zircon bindend oder verpflichtend sein. Jegliche indirekte
Gewährleistungen, die für dieses Produkt anwendbar sind,
beschränken sich auf die 1-jährige Gewährleistungsfrist nach Kauf.

BEGLEITENDE ODER FOLGE-SCHÄDEN, DIE DURCH DEN BESITZ, DIE
