Cette communication tente d’explorer et d’analyser comment les films documentaires inscrivent et réinventent la notion d’Empire. Il s’agit d’examiner cette notion à travers les rituels et les cérémonies filmés en Afrique et en Asie du Sud Esta ponencia intenta explorar y analizar cómo los documentales reinscriben y reinventan la noción de Imperio. Se trata de examinar esta noción a través de los rituales y de los ceremoniales rodados en Africa y en el Sur de Asia. Colonel Heezaliar Travels Around the World. Colonialism, Politics and Entertainment in the Animated Cartoons by John R. Bray Gregorio Rocha Based on the series of animation films, Colonel Heezaliar (1914), this intervention proposes an analysis of the identification of the central character as President Theodore Roosevelt. This identification appears notably in the American policy toward the Mexican Revolution of 1910 - 1917. A partir de la série de films d’animation Colonel Heezaliar (1914), cette intervention propose une analyse de l’identification du personnage central au Président Roosevelt. Cette identification apparaît notamment dans la politique américaine envers la révolution mexicaine de 1910 - 1917. A partir de la serie de películas de animación Colonel Heezaliar (1914), se procura analizar una posible identificación del personaje central de éstas con el presidente Roosevelt.
